found these in boyfriends stuff. he is a gym goer and i wanted to know what they are? ## If there are no markings, it will likely be difficult to determine what they contain. We can rule them out as being a manufactured prescription medication, since they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. However, it could be an over the counter product, a foreign medication or something specially ordered by a doctor and made by a compounding pharmacy. There’s no number on the green and white capsule and I can’t find it on the internet, but it’s the only one left in my dossett box so I thought it was for blood pressure. I usually take Ramapril which are red and white 5mg pills.

Found a red and grey capsule with white powder and no markings - what is it? I cant find it anywhere. ## The FDA requires all prescription products in the U.S. to have unique imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency, so this is most likely an over the counter product, of some type, though there is a small chance it was a specially compounded medication, or something from a foreign source. Is anyone else familiar with a capsule matching this description?

I have a white capsule that has brown powder on the inside and no markings. It's a brownish red powder on the inside. What can it be? ## Hi Chasidy, Just out of curiosity, whereabouts did you get your pill from? Knowing its origin may provide helpful clues for narrowing down prospective pill ID's. Also, does the brownish/red powder have any sort of smell to it? Certain herbal supplements have distinct (recognizable) odors. Unfortunately, without the verification of a lab analysis, a pill with no markings could turn out to be anyone's best guess... One thing's for sure though, and that is, the FDA doesn't approve any US prescription drugs that do not have an imprint or marking of some kind for reference. Having said this, I can only assume that the pill itself may be ...

It is a red and white 2 piece hard capsule with USP marking on them, thanks for your help! ## Are there any other markings? USP stands for United States Pharmacopeia and that is not enough information for us to identify these for you, since it is used on many medications. Where they found in the U.S. or elsewhere?

found red/white capsule pills in son's bedroom. They were in a baggy. He has been acting a little different in the last month but we have put it down to age (18) and the stress of football training. He is a senior this year, starting wide receiver and corner. Please help. I am not sure where to turn, Q ## I found red and white capsules with no markings in my granddaughter's room. She is in outpatient care for depression and cutting. How do I find out what they are without turning her in to the counselors? ## @scared mom, Unfortunately, there's really no way to ID a pill without an imprint. All Rx and OTC drugs in the U.S. are required by law to have an imprint; otherwise it could be a vitamin, herbal, energy, diet, foreign or illicit. It is possible that the imprint could...

a long caplet white one side, red the other. When taken apart it is a firm white tablet, with no writing. Found in mothers cupboard and am worried. Please help. ## fghdf ## If there are no markings, then there is no way to positively identify it, I am sorry. Prescription drugs must all have imprints to enable their identification, so a good guess would be that it is something available over the counter. ## fghsh ## Might be 25mg Hydrocodone 250 APAP, very strong pain pill

I found some capsules with a red stripe, and little red and white balls inside, not sure what it is, and there are no markings on either the capsule or the foil container. They are fairly old, but I don't want to throw them away without knowing what they are.

No markings ## I am sorry, but if there are no markings, it will be impossible for us to positively identify. The only thing we can say for certain is that it is not a U.S. prescription drug. However, it could be any one of a large number of foreign or over the counter medications. I really wish I could help more.

What is in a medicine capsule which is white on one end and yellow on the other, with a circular red stripe in the middle, separating the two halves? There are no letters or numbers, and it's maybe 3/4 of an inch long. ## Hi, Tom! Where did you find it? Since there are no markings on it, we can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription medication, since they are required to have imprints on them to enable their identification and compounding pharmacies use plain capsules, not multicolored like this. That means that it is most likely something that's available over the counter and the leaves it open to a large number of possibilities. And that is the reason I asked where you found it, some products are regional, so knowing the general location may help to narrow it down. Does anyo...

blue and white capsule no markings, with reddish brown powder inside. ## If there are no markings, it may be difficult to determine exactly what this contains.
