Yeast Infection from Antibiotics
10 Replies RSS
I have taken one 150mg Fluconazole tablet to treat a yeast infection as a result of taking antibiotics. On the last night of taking my antibiotic I was in so much discomfort that I decided to take a Fluconazole to treat the thrush on the same night. I took my last antibiotic around (7pm and the Fluconazole much later at night before going to bed.) The symptoms have improved slightly within the last three days but I am still experiencing a very watery large amount of white discharge and red/soreness in that area. The Fluconazole I was prescribed had the instructions written by the pharmicist saying "Take one immediately and one in a week if required." It's been 3 days since I have taken it and was wondering whether it would be too early to try and take another as I am finding... ...

mexico antibiotic for bladder infections
1 Reply RSS
Got a red and white capsule from Mexico that was to cure bladder infections. What are they?? ## Hi Judy, Did you happen to receive any product packaging along with your prescription that suggests it's an antibiotic or are you just assuming it is? Reason I ask is because without any markings or imprints it could literally be anyone's best guess from pharmaceuticals to dietary supplements, illicit drugs and so forth... The description is so broad that one could simply buy a red and white capsule, fill it with virtually any substance and call it whatever they want... If I were you I'd consider the idea of having its contents analyzed by a lab, just to be on the safe side. Did a doctor prescribe this for you to pick up at a licensed pharmacy or do they handle things differently ... ...

I'm on an antibiotic to get rid of my UTI. I don't start my white pill until tomorrow but I'm bleeding now. I've been on sprintec for almost 4 months now and my period usually happens the sencind it third day if the white pills. Is something wrong? And should I take my blue pill today? ## Hello, Grace! How are you? Some antibiotics lower the efficacy of oral contraceptives by reducing the amount of estrogen that you absorb. Thus, your body is reacting just like it would during your period week and don't take any hormones. You should continue taking them all, just as you normally do and use a backup method of protection, until you've finished your course of antibiotics and have taken 7 active tablets in a row after finishing them, which means no unprotected interc... ...

Reaction to Methylprednisolone

I was admitted in the hospital for 4 days, due to a severe reaction to poison ivy. Both of my legs were really swollen, red, painful, & hot to the touch. The doctors ran a complete CBC blood count & it was confirmed that my white blood count was high, my potassium was low, & that I also have an immune difficiency. They treated me with intravenous antibiotics & Methylprednisolone for 4 days. My swelling, redness, & pain did subside however, I am uncertain as to whether my progress was because of the antibiotics or Methylprednisolone. I was discharged after the fourth day & prior to being released, I did inform my doctor & nurses that my entire family at home was sick with the flu. I woke the very next morning with a bad cold that turned into the flu which also... ...

I have had no problems with Gimalxina and amoxicilina from mexico. The Gimablina is white and red capsule. Best result with amoxicilina is the white and blue capsule. have taken it for years when sick. I will only get from a Benavidez pharmacy across the border, with my other meds. ## Hi suzann, What type of antibiotic is Gimalxina or Gimablina? I haven't actually heard of these names before. Do you take it in conjunction with the Amoxicillin or is this quite simply a Mexican brand name of "Amoxicilina"?
