I am taking 300mg twice a day since last 5 years. What can be the harm done to my body du to this. ## Have you consulted your doctor? Aciloc contains the active ingredient Ranitidine, it is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach, to treat or prevent conditions, such as heartburn, GERD, ulcers and Gastritis. I'm not really finding a lot of information on such long-term use of it, because it's generally recommended that these only be used for time periods ranging from 2 weeks to a few months. I have been suffering from IBS from a long time. After a lot of treatment now I have been prescribed Rablet L along with Vibact DS and with this I find a lot of improvement,i.e appetite has increased, giddiness has come down and no. of stools after food has also come down. I have been taing the above for last ten days. However at least once a day I have loose stools though bloating of stomach has stopped. How long can I continue this?? The above has been prescribed by gastro enterologist himself???? What side effects can I expect???? ## Hello Anuradha.... My father in law 75yrs old, suffered severe acidity bout last year and dr. prescribed him rablet 20mg. Now whenever he experiences acidity he wants to take rablet 20. I am 36, working as School Teacher. I have a child who is 3 years old. Recently, after some birthday functions at home, I am having too much acidity and giddiness. in april, 2010 i had an accident, hard pain around the waist line are at the back. i referred doctor , he give me 4 tablets : Rablet 20, rexipra 16mg, scalebenz and ultrum, after one week there were some side effects like little shaking of hand, blurred vision, stool coming out like water and then after 10 days the stool became very hard, then we went to the doctor second time, he said how is the back pain, i said its fine so from that four tablets he told you only need to eat two tablets : scalebenz and rexipra but due to side effects i have to live it, please suggest me ? ...
