I've been taking Quetiapine 25 mg for sleep and anxiety for about a week then halved the dose as it made me feel out of it the next day.. Half a tablet still helped me sleep but I still felt out of it the next day. Went back to work for two days, wasn't good being off driving to work and at work. Decided to stop taking it a few days ago. I didn't sleep. My head felt like strange pinging if that's the word for it. Felt like I lost complete control crying my eyes out, vomiting, heart beating fast, shakes... I was going to book myself into a hospital as I felt so out of control. Went and saw another doctor who gave me Alepam 15 mg which calmed me down and wants me to start on Aropax 20 mg. What should I do? Take these meds or go and book myself into a hospital and get check...

I am on 300 mg Epilim for Bipolar disorder and 25mg of Serez. I stopped taking Serez after sleeping for 12 hours straight and have been drowsy for 2 days. Please help and explain the reason for this. ## Is this your first time taking both of these medications together? Based on my research, (Serez) Quetiapine may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, weight changes and sedation. Many of which correspond to your description. Something else you may want to be aware of is that other drug articles note that more than 1 in 100 people who take (Epilim) Sodium Valproate, experience "sleepiness" as a common side effect. So it seems as though both of your medications could be causing you to sleep a lot more and feel drowsy at the same time. Unfortunately the only way...

I am having trouble withdrawing from Seroquel. I used to take 100mg for sleep, but managed to bring my dosage down to 25mg. However, I started to have anxiety problems and went back to 50 mg. Since then I've been shaving the 50 mg pill down to 3/4 of a pill. However I get very tired and groggy. If I try to shave it down further I get anxiety that only improves when I take more seroquel. It seems like I have a choice between anxious and groggy. Do you have any suggestions for how I could get off of seroquel completely while minimizing the grogginess and/or anxiety? ## Have you consulted your doctor for assistance? Seroquel contains the active ingredient Quetiapine, which is an antipsychotic and a sudden cessation of any medication that has an effect on brain chemicals is going to cau...

I like to make a public account of my expereience with seroquel or / quetiapine. To be as frank as possible this drug should only be used as your last resort as the negatives far out weigh the positives in my opinion. I took this drug to treat my mild to moderate tactile hallucinations which developed from extreme stress earlier in 2013. I took 25mg of seroquel (50mg cut in half) for about 2 weeks and then I took a full tablet of 50 mg of seroquel for another 2 weeks and then because of the side effects of mild kindey/liver pain plus mild heart pain i began to taper off the drug for another 2 weeks taking about 15mg of seroquel. I'm a 34 year old male pretty athletic and i was really suprised that i was getting all this liver, heart discomfort while on the drug. Also i noticed my jo...
