I take Qualitest 10/500 pink hydrocodone. My pharmacy has told me that Qualitest will no longer be making this. I have tried other 10/500 pills to no avail. Qualitest is the only manufacturer that works on my pain . Does Qualitest offer another size ? ## Hello, Ted! How are you doing? Actually, after the first of the year (2014), none of the manufacturers will be making this dosage, anymore. Due to the risks of liver damage or failure that can occur with long-term use of high amounts of Acetaminophen, as well as the overdose fatalities that have occurred with these medications, the FDA has requested that all combination prescription products be lowered to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen, per dose. I am trying to find this product in Phoenix Arizona. No one so far carries it. Its a oval white pill with 3604V printed on it. Google says it made by Qualitest. I've tried Walgreen's, Walmart, CVS, and Fry's. The pill has little red specks on it. If I could find that certain pill I'd really appreciate it because it does not make me sick to my stomach like the other brands. Thanks. ## There is really no way to know which pharmacy might have it in stock, generally the generic they carry can vary depending on who was offering the cheapest price, via their distributor, at the time they needed to restock their supply. Some place might list is under UDL Laboratories, since that is a licensed distributor for the manufacturer. NDC code: 51079-0777 Inactive ingredients may includ...

i have a severe back problem and go to a pain clinic for pain management. I use Qualitest Hydrocodone 10/500 (pink) for years for break through pain. I know they had to go to 10/325 but what I want to know is do they make the exact same pill except for the acetominaphen part. I have tried the white and I have tried the 10/500 Watson which is not blue but white and they just don't work. I just want the same makeup as the Qualitest that I have taken for years and even if the 2nd part is cut down I could add back a tylenol to it to get that 2nd part. I am not afraid of it I just need some pain relief and the pink ones did it for me and neither white or Watson white, they just don't work. Please help me and lead me in the right direction ## Hello, Louise! How are you? No, I'm so...

Although many have said one drug is the same as the other I find that Qualitest hydrocodone 10/325 seems to not affect me as far as making me drowsy and extremely tired. It does so help with the pain but it does not make me so I can not function. The other manufacturer Mallincor (spelling not right) their hydrocodone makes me so tired I have to literally go to bed. Strange I think that if two drugs are identical how can they have different effects to you. I prefer to not take any hydrocodone but until I am through this pain I prefer to take the one that does not comatose me. ## While they contain the same active ingredients, there can be fluctuations in the amount of them that are in generic medications, additionally, the inactive ingredients can be entirely different. Thus, the one fro...

Is this product Gluten Free? Does the filler formula change depending on when it is manufactured? Is there a risk for cross contamination during the manufacturing of this product or at any other time before the patient fills a prescription? ## I have been allergic to gluten for 15 years now, and I have been taking it for the past 3 years, so I am assuming it is safe or I would have known it, by my throat and tongue swelling up. I don't know about a risk of cross contamination...but so far I have not had any problems. ## Based on my research, each Hydrocodone 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg tablet (from Qualitest Pharmaceuticals) contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, pregelatinized ...

had prescribed for broken jaw and need to know exactly what it is ## My son is taking Hydorcodone elx for tonsilectomy and I'm wondering what some side effects may be. He is having trouble eating unless he takes the medicine but I've been giving it to him every 6 hours for 7 days and I'm afraid he'll become addicted. ## APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen, Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I have found Qualitest hydrocodone to be superior to all other brands.

I was in a bad accident back in March of 2012, I was on a snow machine ( mobile for who call it that) and was hit by a large SUV. I had a shattered pelvis, broken hip and broken femur. I've found that the qualitest 5/325 white pills with red specks work best for me compared to other brands, but of late I've had to take more to feel a relief. I'm wondering if they make the same type just stronger. I don't know if it's the red specks they use in them that makes it different with others. I also just moved and am worried my new state won't have that brand even if I can't get a raised dose with my next doctor. I hate taking so many, wish I didn't have to take them at all to be honest. I have tried to go my normal route and stop taking them to lower my need for...

I have had many Qualitest Hydrocodone 10/325, printed different. Right way is v, turn over3601, which is correct. Others , the V is upside down. Totally different printed pills. This should not be happening. I am concerned they are counterfeit pills. Happened to me twice now. NEVER use to have this problem. ## It's not counterfeit, it just has to do with the pharmacy ordering from a different soarse. Like meds from the V.A. are marked different. Right no with DEA and FDA cracking down is making it hard for pharmacies to get any type of pain medication. Sad part is that this is creating people who are in need are going to the streets for meds, this in turn is more drug dealers out there so now DEA can keep there jobs. I think it's a bunch of b.s cause I take 15mg. of morphine and...

I have been taking Hydrocodone 5-325 s, by mallinckrodt for a few years now for back pain , they work really well, I take 2 at a time . My pharmacist switched to Qualitest and it was a nightmare . I took one of those and had a migraine headache the whole day , along with breathing problems, rash , and nausea , bad stuff . I did some research and manufacture does matter . Found a place that has Mallincroft . ## Hi Ilene, Sorry to hear about your experience with the Qualitest version. I'm glad you were able to find a place that has your preferred manufacturer in stock. If I had to make an assumption based on your description, I'd say the binders and fillers could've been the root cause of such side effects. When you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn...

I was prescribed Vicodin for a dental implant and as given the hydrocodon acetominiphen 7.5-325, and had a reaction to them..It caused itching all over and wheezing. I have taken the name brand with no issues. where can I find out what the ingredients are in this? Could there be gluten in them as I have a gluten problem. ## Hello, Ellen! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you had. It is always possible to develop an allergy to something, even if you took it before, without a problem. So, we can't rule out that possibility. As to the inactive ingredients, in the orange/peach oval tablet with the V 3605 marking, they are listed as being: croscarmellose sodium FD&C Red No. 40 FD&C Yellow No. 6 lactose Monohydrate magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone ...

Is the yellow dye in the Qualitest hydrocodone tablets tartrazine, aka FD & C yellow # 5? Many people, myself included, are highly sensitive to this dye. Lots of manufacturers still use it, for unknown reasons. But some have switched to an iron compound for the yellow color (who needs it?!). I have spent much time online trying to get this info, to no avail. If anyone knows, your response would be greatly appreciated! ## Hello, Bluecat! How are you? Actually, it is listed as being FD&C yellow #6. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My son-in-law takes the yellow Norcos. Then one day, he picked up his meds ...

What is the difference between qualitest brand Hydrocodone/Acet 10/325 with a V on one side and 36 01 on the other side of this yellow pill, as opposed to Mallinckrodt white pill with the same strength? The Mallinckrodt pills give me lots of bad side effects and do not help my pain as well as the Qualitest ones do. ## I also got my yellow 10/325's switched to the Mallinckrodt white by RiteAid. I have severe chronic pain and the white ones don't have much effect. How do I find the yellow ones? Thanks ## Dear Qualitest Representatives: Since 2002, when I had a 3-level 360 back fusion I have been taking hydrocodone, and usually the 10/325's, first Watson's then Qualitest which work absolutely the best for my pain. I have been prescribed Qualitest yellow 10/325 Norco for over a year now for my Fibromyalgia and only take one pill at night which has helped my pain level tremendously. Qualitest is the only manufacturer that has worked for me as I have tried a few others they just upset my stomach and give me headaches. I just recently picked up my new prescription and something is VERY wrong with this new prescription. Normally I don't have any side effects but this batch, my stomach hurts when I take them and they just give me a massive headache. I have absolutely no pain relief like I always have in the past. I'm thinking they may have changed the inactive ingredients. Does anyone have an ideas on how to find out if they have changed something in their formulation? I am not crazy here, some...

I have been taking Hydrocodone-Acetominophen 7.5-325 for years for degenerative disks in my back. The generic Aurobindo tablets don't work for me and make me nauseated. Applause go to: Mallinckrodt. Mallinckrodt manufactures that same prescription (white pill M366) and they are the only ones I have found that actually work with no unpleasant side effects. I really wish my pharmacy hadn't switched manufacturers. I am extremly disappointed in Aurobindo generic for Norco. The other one that didn't work was orange with a V on one side and 36|05 on the other, manufactured by Qualitest. It was garbage, just like the Aurobindo. ## I've probably just read 50 reviews on Hydrocodone 10-325's & you're the first person that actually has something good to say about Mallin...

Started with M358 7.5 Hydrocodone next time I was given pill 3594 and didnt think that it worked as well . I have had it three times now for low back pain and today back to M358. Is it simply the manufacturer? ## Both tablets contain 75mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, but there can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one manufacturer to another, so you may just not be getting as much in the ones with the 3594 V marking from Qualitest. Anybody know of pharmacies in the Los Angeles area that carries the Qualitest Hydrocodone 10-325. My pharmacy switched to another brand. I live in Long Beach CA, and can't find a pharmacy that carries this brand. Anybody in the LA area have any input as to the availability of this product. Thanks again ## Bristol Pharmacy in Irvine has them. I have had my left arm reattached, right wrist broken last year and a total of 3 broken ankles. And metal in two parts of my body. Is this pill 5 mg or 10mg? And what does the 3604 stand for? ## Hello, Doc! How are you? The white, oblong tablet with the red specks that has the marking 3604 V on it contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And according to law, all manufactured prescription tablets must have unique markings to enable their identification, in case of an emergency, so any given pill can be traced by to a specific manufacturer. That's what the 3604 V is, it's just the code that Vintage/Qualitest has chosen to use on this pill to identify it as their product. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been taking Watson 5-325 hydrocodone from Walgreens for years for back pain. I am disabled, have scoliosis and two bad car accidents caused the need. 3 months ago Walgreens changed to this new Actavis brand. It isn't working! Until I read this, I thought I would have to increase my dosage. Also for the past 3 months I've had sore throat and pain in sinuses and ears. I thought I had overdone my Flonase and have gone through 2 rounds of antibiotics without relief. When I read about the mother's ears ringing and nausea, I put this together. Thank you so much! I scheduled another appointment today for next week about this. Hopefully a new scrip will solve both issues. I went to CVS today and found out they have qualitest brand hydrocodone. ## @Brat Cat, You're defin...
