My husband is on OxyContin because he is disabled is there anyway to fill out a form for help of payment for these? Every year we try to find an insurance company to help out with paying for these and they are way over our heads. ## Purdue Pharma does have a patient assistance program, that may be able to help you, but only if you have no other type of prescription insurance. Cant aford my prescription so need help ## Hello, Mike! How are you? Purdue Pharma does have an assistance program for those that can't afford their medications. Your doctor needs to request an application for you by calling them at 800-599-6070. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Looking for the manufacturer to see if they have a prescription assistance program. Our COBRA has ran out and no ins. ## There wouldn't be an assistance program for this, because it is a generic medication, however, the name brand MsIR is manufactured by Purdue Pharma and they do have some assistance programs. In such cases, the person can apply for their program and, if approved, their doctor faxes a signed prescription each month, then their medication is shipped for them. I was laid off from my job after 18 years!!! I have been taking OxyContin 60 for over 5 years now for chronic pain. I have applied to Purdue for their patient assistance program to receive free OxyContin. Dr. Has been in touch with them but it takes at least four weeks to receive the medication. She is presently looking up the alternative medications that I can take in between now and the delivery of my medication from Purdue. Can anyone help me with the alternatives? I lost my job, and my prescription coverage ran out before my refil. I found a few indipendant providors.. even tried one out... it worked great on my norco - but they want almost $600 for 90 30mg tabs. Live in Tampa and I have been on oxycontin SR 80mg, for 10 yrs. Prescribed by my physician , for injury. I can't afford the price my pharmacy is charging me. I am trying to find out where to fill my prescription for the Oxycodone HCL 30 mg #240 which I take 8 a day.
