Can I use purbac when I'm on antiretroviarl treatment and having abscess on armpits? ## Hi Michael, I did some research and I read that a high incidence of side-effects occurs in "immunocompromised" patients. Such as: those suffering from Aids or patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy. The adverse effects can include skin rash, recurrent fever, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia and raised liver enzyme values. WIth that being said, this may not be a safe medication for you to take. When I diagnosed with food poisoning my doctor prescribed Purbac DS for me forgetting that Im allergic to Sulphur. I was on day 3 of taking the tablets when I realized that I was consuming Sulphur.
