Hi, I've been on trigestril since December. And I've started taking vit-c, and iron supplements(I'm anemic)... Does those pills have a negative impact on the pill??? If I start my cycle on Monday and want to start taking the pill on that day, I can't figure out which pill to take? ## You should start at the beginning of the pill pack, just like you would if you started on any other day. If you start taking them on the first day of your menstrual cycle, you should be protected from pregnancy immediately, however, starting at any other point requires using additional protection for the first 7 days. I have a tube of Borofax Skin Protection from the makers or neosporin. It prevents and treats diaper rash. Do you know where I can buy a new tube of this? ## The tube says active ingredients are zinc oxide 15% and white petrolatum 68%. Also contains: lanolin, mineral oil and fragrance. Dist: Warner Wellcome Consumer Health Products, Morris Plains, NJ 07950 USA. ## From what I can find, it is no longer manufactured. These are common ingredients for this type of product, though, so you should be able to find them in other over the counter items. Have you tried asking a pharmacist what product is comparable? is it ok to grind pills that have to be given to pets so that they can be mixed with their food? ## Yes, you can do that as long as they aren't time released pills and as long as your veterinarian or the pill labeling hasn't warned you not to do so. There are some pills that would carry such a warning, because they may do damage to the stomach or esophagus if they are crushed and the protective outer coating removed. I usually take my pill at 11 pm and I remembered this morning that I forgot to take it. I took the one I was supposed to take last night (the fifth pill) this morning at 7 am (8 hrs late). I was wondering if I should have today's pill at 11pm as usual or change my times completely? ## Hello, Hannak! How are you? You can just continue taking them at your regular time. Taking one late isn't the same as missing a pill and you should still be protected from pregnancy, but you may want to find some type of reminder to use to make sure you don't repeat the error. Under duress (syringes n threats of guns) I took at least 4 but more likely to be 10 pills. The guy reluctantly said they was called dihydrochloride. They were small white tablets with dh 30 on them. My memory is blurry n there r huge gaps were I dont no wot happened. My heart was goin fluttery speech slurred n I cudnt eat or sleep. Efects at first seemed similar to amphetamines. After expiration of pill specified on bottle...what is an actual expiration of the pill itself for effectiveness? ## The date specified on the bottle. That is the longest that it can be assured that it maintains full effectiveness, since they degrade faster once exposed to the elements, such as heat, light, moisture and etc. That's why the expiration date is longer for most tablets, while they are still sealed in the original factor containers, those protect them from being exposed to those elements. I am taking Diane 35 for years because of my irregular menstruation and PCOS. I am single and 36 years old. However, I absentmindedly took another pack after I had the pack for this month (Wed) because I thought its already 8th day already (Fri). Meaning I took two days after I finished a pack. I have not had my period until Monday. I just realized it now, its Saturday. Hello again, I just finished my taking my first seven pills (first week of first pack). When will I be officially protected? ## I assume you're referring to an oral contraceptive? If so and it's the traditional combination pills, then yes, you are protected after 7 days of taking active pills. Learn more oral contraceptive details here.
