What is the highest number of milligrams of Prestique that should be taken per day? ## The RECOMMENDED adult dosage is 50mg. per day. But these M.D.'s will raise that amount much higher and possible stack this medication on top of other meds so beware you might be taking way to many meds at a much higher dose than necessary. ## Pritiq contains the active ingredient Desvenlafaxine, it is an SNRI antidepressant. For those with hard to treat depression, amounts up to 400mgs a day may be used, but no benefits were shown on any dosages high than that and, as Bruce stated, the normal adult dosage is 50mgs a day. Has anyone experienced this high blood pressure and severe headaches with Prestique 100mg a day? I have been on it for 4 monthes now and have just started experiencing these symptoms this past month. Blood pressure as high as 210/110 and I was in the hospital for 4 days. All cardiac and blood clot issues have been ruled out. I am at my wits end..can someone out there help me? I have also been started on 2 blood pressure pills without effect. I have had thyroid cancer for the following 12 years with 10 surgeries and all the I131 a person is allowed to have administered. Just recently, in July, I had a severe back reconsruct with fusion and all nerves to my legs had been so damamged by the severity at which they were pinched from my spine let to totally different problems. What are the side effects of taking Subutex and Soma together? ## Im currently in a suboxone program and taking 24mg/day.. im also on lamictal,prestique,& clonopine 1mg4aday. I've. My doctor gave me prestiq about 6 weeks ago, because we were having no luck controlling my hotflases with hormones. I had a complete hysterectomy @ 37 a year ago and the flashes were a nightmare! This medicine almost COMPLETELY stopped the hotflashes and helped with the mood swings! I was amazed that an antidepressent was the answer! FYI, I also sleep better and have been diagnosed with figromyalgia, which the symptoms are a little more tolerable. ## Some of the things I have read about Prestique are scary. There is NO weight gain, I actually have no desire for food, but I have to eat. Sexually it may slow things down, but doesn't effect me. I have felt nausea, but otherwise feeling great!
