I AM USING GLYCIPHAGE 500 MG TWICE DAILY. BUT SUGAR LEVEL AT PP WAS ABOUT 150. DOCTOR PRECRIBED Pioglit 15 Mg ONCE IN DAILY AFTER BREAKFAST ALING WITH SAID GLYCIPHAGE 500 MG . NOW THE LEVEL AT PP IS 133. IS IT POSSIBLE TO REDUCE OR STOP SAID TABLETS OR REDUCE THE TABLET TO ONE ONLY BECAUSE SWALLOWING OF TABLET IS DIFFICULT FOR ME ## I wouldn't suggest cutting out a medication, or reducing your dosage, without consulting with your doctor. Diabetes can cause serious health problems, if it is not controlled and just because your levels have gone down, using the medication, doesn't mean they are going to stay down, once you stop using it. If they are not time released tablets, it may be possible to crush them, or cut them in half, to make them easier to swallow, however, please chec...

Is it safe to use pioglitazone, metformin and glimipride together for managing blood sugar levels? ## Yes, they can be used together, though certain things do need to be monitored, so using all 3 is usually only done, when someone is having trouble lowering their blood sugar by any other method. But taking all 3 together does create the risk of experiencing severely low blood sugar, plus taking the Metformin with the Pioglitazone could cause fluid retention, weight gain and edema. Is it safe to take Nesina with Glimepiride, Pioglitazone, and Metformin? ## As long as your doctor has prescribed them all to be taken together. It is sometimes necessary for someone to take multiple oral diabetes medications to get their blood sugar under control. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Nesina as possibly including anxiety, nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, hypoglycemia and headache. It may also increase the effects of the Glimepiride, so please watch for low blood sugar levels.
