So this pill L441 is not Xanax? Nor a generic form of Xanax? Just makes someone sleep? ## Hi Kris, Just to confirm, a light blue oval-shaped pill marked with "L441", is identified as a 25mg Doxylamine succinate tablet; which is most commonly used as a sleeping aid for insomnia. For verification, the manufacturer of this pill is Perrigo and it has a National Drug Code of 41163-441-67. You can also learn more about this drug on the page for Doxylamine Details May I ask what led you to believe that it could've been Xanax? ## I was told this was the generic of Xanax. What is the difference between hydrocodone and oxycontin???
3 Replies RSS
I have been taking hydrocodone 10-325 for 8 or 9 years. And now my doctor wants to put me on oxycontin. I have never taken any before and he did not say what strength. What are the dosages??? Is it any better than the hydrocodone 10-325??? ## Hello, Tazman57! How are you? Oxycontin is a time released formulation of Oxycodone, the medication is slowly released over a 12 hour period. It is stronger than Hydrocodone, you only need 6.67mgs of Oxycodone to equal each 10mgs of Hydrocodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It's available in varying doses starting at 10mgs and going all the way up to 160mgs. Is there anything e... ...

Stopped taking Effexor after one year.
1 Reply RSS
I started Effexor in December of 2013 after having taken Prozac for years. I had a daughter in law diagnosed in October of that year with stage 4 breast cancer. Her husband, my son, has always had money problems, no matter how much he makes. My daughter in law is a great gal, and I was really pressured to spend money I didn't have, very stressful time for a 67 year old gal. I started with the Effexor because I was having trouble sleeping, started having hot flashes again, lots of mental anxiety. Recently I started having a clanging noise in my head, bowel problems, and really irritable and depressed. I went to have several tests done, all negative for any serious disease or health problem. The financial and health problems with my son and daughter in law have been taken care of the ... ...

switching an 87 yr old nursing home patient to tylenol 3 after 6 years of hydracodone use should i be concerned about withdrawal symptoms
4 Replies RSS
Because Hydracodone has just changed to a Schedule II med, by father's doc is switching all patients to Tyl 3. My concern is that the switch is happening without weening down from hydracodone. Is it medically necessary to slowly go down on the hydracodone as he slowly goes up on Tyl 3? or can the switch happen in one dose? ## Hello, Gina! How are you? The Codeine in the Tylenol 3 is weaker than the Hydrocodone, so a rapid switch like that may result in some withdrawal and rebound effects, such as nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and rebound pain. To be equal to 10mgs of Hydrocodone, he'd need 66.67mgs of the Codeine. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ... ...

I JUST MOVED TO PHOENIX AZ LOOKING FOR A NEW DOC WITH COMPASSION ? FOR XANAX ,KLONOPIN AND PERCOCET FOR BACK PAIN THANKS ## Xanax contains Alprazolam and Klonopin contains Clonazepam, they are both Benzodiazepines, which treat the same conditions, so it is unlikely you will find a doctor that will prescribe both. In addition, many doctors will not want to handle pain treatment and the treatment for other conditions, such as anxiety, because they are not properly trained in handling both conditions. Have you had any luck, yet? ## MY dr prescribes me 67 8mg suboxin, 1mg klonopin 3x daily and 1mg Xanax for insomnia ## Xanax is really not a sleeping drug or for insomnia. I feel I have been on all anti-pressants ever made, I self medicated with booze for a long time so of course none of them worked or made me sleepy. Well finally I got off the booze about 4 years ago and I like Remeron but I`m diabetic and scared of all the talk about weight gain, I keep my numbers down for the diebetes, I`m 67 and I tread very lightly. ## Have you talked to your doctor? I know you say that you've tried them all, but there are some relatively new ones on the market and not all of them are known to cause weight gain. Your doctor may be able to suggest one you can try that wouldn't cause this issue. I understand why you tread lightly, being diabetic and your age. Have you tried any natural treatments? storvas 10 tablet effects

I underwent Aeotic valve replacement in April 2006. After 6 months Dr. prescribed 3 tablets viz. Amalong 5mg, Ecosprin 150 mg, and Storvas 10mg. There was no problem upto 2013 December. For the past one and half years I developed Prostate condition (urine passes slowly), of course my creatinine is 1.1. Dr.says that deposits in the urine bladder may be a reason. I just want to know whether any side effect is possible because of the above medicines. I am 67 now. ## It is doubtful, such medications usually cause increased urination and, occasionally, kidney stones, according to the NIH. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, and joint/muscle aches. Are you taking anything to help with your prostate issue? ...
