There is a pill that is oxycodone that has a different name. What is the name of the pill? ## Hello, Patricia! How are you? In spite of the way it is pronounced, it actually starts with an X, the medication is called Xtampza. It is new time released formulation of Oxycodone, similar to Oxycontin, but using a different time release and abuse prevention mechanism. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Xztampa is the semi-New pill that has oxycodone in it. It's an ER pill and not a very good one if you ask me. otc sleeping pills ## Pale orange little pill nothing on it silky smooth ## I'm afraid that in this case, at least so far, I have no guesses. Even knowing it's an over the counter product, with the basic description and letter M leaves it open to many possibilities ranging from actual medications to herbal or Ayurvedic products. I can however, add one warning, that regardless of what their source or origination, all of them are known to cause dependence in some people, which means terrible bouts of insomnia, when someone tries to stop taking them. Does anyone have any idea of what this might have been?

Used it when I had my total knee. Two syllables, I think. Can't take most pain meds, so need to find out. ## I did see your other post and I've done more searching, but I am not finding anything that starts with a T and just has 2 syllables. I know I mentioned Tramadol before, so perhaps you had it prescribed under the brand name, which is Ultram? It's also available with Acetaminophen as Ultracet. Otherwise, some other 2 syllable choices are: Lodine, Mobic, Lorcet, Lortab, Norco and Motrin. Have you talked to your doctor, yet? I'm sure they'd have record of what they prescribed.

green n white pill after seizure ## Hello, Dan! How are you? Are you sure it was a narcotic? They aren't usually given for seizures. Off the top of my head, Codeine is a narcotic that starts with a C, it's a very mild one and has been available for many years. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Benzodiazepines are sometimes given for seizures, in that case, it could have been Clonazepam. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

Back in the hospital and the doctors are having a hard time finding an IV medication that will help lessen the chest pain from my pneumonia. I wear Fentanyl 75 mcg (changed every 72 hrs). Health issues; crps/rsd, ankylosing spondylitis, Arnold Chiari Malformation, Pudenal Neuralgia, are just the top my health issues. ## Hi Loveday, I don't know how much help this will be, but I was able to find a pretty extensive list of medications starting with "P". Perhaps one of the names on there might ring a bell?: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/drug_Pa.html If anyone else can post back with more information on other possibilities that would be great!

I think that this is a generic name. It is a medication name that starts with an "M", but is also given for manic behaviors with bipolar disorder. ## Please delete my question. I was informed that the med actually starts with an "L", and have found it. Thank you for your help, anyway. ## Glad you found the information you were looking for, however, for anyone else searching in the future, here's a link to an article on Epilepsy and the U.S. FDA approved medications for treatment: Are there any questions or comments?

I was in the hospital and they gave me an injection for pain. It started with the letter g. Any ideas? ## Could it be gabapentin? Gabapentin is frequently prescribed for nerve pain, although I'm not exactly certain whether it's currently available in an intravenous dosage form. I did happen to find a clinical study on FDA.gov discussing gabapentin being taken via IV administration at the bottom of page 2 in the following link: accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2009/020235s041.pdf Hopefully this will at least help narrow potential suspects as to what medication you're searching for. I'll be sure to post back if I can think of any other prospects that start with a 'g'. Gabapentin just happens to be one of the more common brand names on the market. ## Thanks,...

Blue oval shaped pill with L347 on one side and nothing on the other side ## This is most likely an over the counter sleeping aide, but I can't find a definitive ID on it in the drug databases. Usually, when the imprint starts with an L then it is an over the counter type of Acetaminophen or Tylenol. Also, the PM may indicate that it is Tylenol PM (Acetaminophen with Diphenhydramine); or Benadryl. Hopefully someone else on here who has it in their possession can post the drug details.

Yes, that can happen and is generally nothing to worry about, as long as your most recent pap smear was normal. Unless your doctor feels that there is some reason to be concerned.
