I need to know if the blue oval pills with 123 on one side and IG on the other side is good for treating a toothache? ## Can you please double check the marking and post back? The closest I've found has the marking IG 213, which is manufactured by Camber Pharmaceuticals, they list it as containing 50mgs of Sertraline (NDC 31722-0213). This is an antidepressant that is also used to help treat anxiety, so not it would not help with a toothache. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight gain. I extracted my wisdom (molar) teeth - right lower 2 weeks back. I am feeling a pain in the next adjacent teeth. Doctor prescribed root canal, but I am going on a tour from tomorrow for 2 weeks. Well half of my bottom tooth on the left side in the back has broken off and the other half is still there and it is soooooo killing me. ## Um....I think you need to go to the dentist get it fixed. ## A round, white tablet with the marking E 22 contains 100mgs of Orphenadrine, which is a muscle relaxant, so it won't help with dental pain. NDC 00185-0022 Thus, I have to agree with Janice, you need to see a dentist to have this fixed, if you are in that much pain, it is most likely due to an infection, which will require a round of antibiotics to treat, then the repair or extraction of the tooth. I was PAINFULLY curious as to the effectiveness tramadol has for moderate/severe toothaches. Usually 800-1000 mg(4 or 5)of ibuprofen alleviate my toothaches, but my friend gave me 6 50mg. tramadols suggesting they might help. I have a painful toothache. The dentist office is closed on Sunday. I have 1 ciprofloxacin 500 mg and cephalexin 500 mg. Can I take doxycycline 100mg for a toothache? I'm also taking Lisinopril 20 mg and Bupropion 75mg. ## John Docycline is not a pain reliever it wouldn't have any pain relieving properties.Ibuprophen is excellent for tooth pain it's an OTC med. ## Can I take the antibiotic for a bad tooth that is abscessed with the other two drugs? ## @John, If there's really a bacterial infection present, then killing the infection with an antibiotic makes sense and will probably help alleviate pain that the infection was causing. As to the efficacy of Doxycycline being used for this purpose, I do think there may be better options on the market.
