My personal assumption is that it lost a good percentage of its potency by now, having been 3-4 years old. I would also check with your doctor or pharmacy to make sure that you're using the most effective treatment option for poison oak. It may still be effective, but not nearly as potent. Have been taking Prednisone 20mg pills split into 4 pieces for a bronchial infection. The pills are expired from 2010. I'm taking the taper off 6 to 1 portions per day. It doesn't seem to be taking effect, although it has worked in the past. Hello, I am not sure the date of expiration of my prednisone tablet. What I can see in the packaging is ED: 5-18, does that mean May 2018?

I was Rx Prednisone 10 mg x 48 tablet. The Lot number is L043E08A Expires 04 11. Can you explain the expiraton date? ## April 2011?
