I am researching for my best friend. She is lactose intolerance and was told by her pharmatist to go on line to find drugs that are lactose free ## gynecologist ## Tell her to ask her pharmacist what pharmaceuticals he uses and then search each drug by that pharmaceutical. It should show what the inactive ingredients are. ## What medication has she been prescribed? Most tablets, or capsules will not contain enough to cause issues, according to NIH studies. The amounts in them are miniscule, so it would not be the same as drinking milk, or eating cheese. What types of issues does she experience from lactose?

Yes, they are different medications, though both are narcotics, but the Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Learn more Norco details here. how can a pharmacist charge the order of a doctor prescription? I been on my medication since 1999. now, I need to go to an pain clinic. why? everybody wants money and a pain clinic only going to give me more medicines to take. if its not broke why fixed it> ## A pharmacist cannot change it, but they can refuse to fill it. There were new regulations put in place by the DEA, so a PCP can no longer prescribe such medications on a long-term ongoing basis. And not all pain specialists are going to prescribe you more medications, they usually try other treatment options, that don't require habit forming substances. There was a lot of abuse and over/improper prescribing, which the government is now trying to curb. Do you have any other questions or concerns? ## There are no new laws s...

Can express scripts discuss my medicines with my dentist without my knowledge? What about hippa laws? ## Hello, Brdie! How are you? To my understanding, your doctor or pharmacist is allowed to discuss your medications with them and it is not a HIPAA violation, because they are a prescriber and there is a risk of interactions and etc. Thus, there is certain information that may be essential to your safe care that they need to know. In reality, for your own safety, you should tell them everything that you are taking, before they prescribe anything, as directed by the FDA. Additionally, when you see your doctor or dentist, you usually sign a paper acknowledging their privacy policies and when they will talk to another practitioner and what information will or will not be shared. I am so frustrated with drug companies adding sugar alcohols like sorbitol and mannitol in medicines. I have been taking Prilosec for gastritis for about 10 months. My doctor asked that the pharmacist give me an rx (for gastritis) that does not contain sorbitol. I have been taking the Prilosec for over 1 month and I am still having my symptoms. I just check the ingredients and it contains mannitol which is just like sorbitol. WHY is this allowed in medicine. There are a huge number of people (especially those with irritable bowel syndrome) who are becoming sicker because sorbitol and mannitol causes gastritis issues with them and others like me who get extremely sick (and dehydrated) with just a little bit of this! It is extremely dangerous for young children and the elderly. How can I ...

I'd suggest double checking with your doctor or a pharmacist first, since they may be aware of interactions between them that aren't listed in the databases. How are you? They are both the same medication in the same dosage, just manufactured by different companies, so the pharmacist is correct. The Betamethasone is a steroid class medication, that is used to treat allergic reactions and swelling. Have you tried asking the pharmacist why they made the switch?
