I just wanted to see how long do I have to wait for Pentrexyl to ware off before I could take theraflu night time honey lemon tea which contains a pain reliever / fever reducer. Or is it OK to take with the pentrexyl? I have had a cough, and ear infection I've been trying to get rid of since Thursday. My ear infection is gone bUT I still have a cough, fever, and runny nose. ## Hello, Jam! How are you? I HAVE AN INNER EAR INFECTION, AND I HAVE BEEN TAKING PENTREXYL AMPICILINA CAPSULAS 500 MG ORAL PILLS. ALONG WITH FALCON NEOMYCIN AND POLYMYXIN B SULFATES AND HYDROCORTISONE OTIC SUSPENSION EAR DROPS.I WAS WANDERING WILL THIS CLEAR UP MY EAR INFECTION? I had a runny nose, cough, headache, and low grade fever which all of these symptoms are now gone, but I now have sore throat and was wondering if I can take pentrexyl ampicilina for this condition. I still have congestion and a dry cough. ## Has your doctor prescribed it for such? Ampicillin is an antibiotic, commonly used to treat various types of infections, so it will ONLY help with this condition if it is being caused by an infection of some sort.
