Can bioflu which contains phenylephrine hcl, chlorphenamine maleate and paracetamol be taken together with robitussin dm which contains dextromethorphan hbr and guaifenesin? Please reply. Thank you so much for your help. ## HI, though they have different ingredients, you would essentially still be doubling up on the same types of medications, so no you most likely shouldn't take them both, unless your doctor instructs you to do so. Getting too much could cause some problems, such as worsening of the side effects. Additionally, since the Phenylephrine can act like a stimulant, adding it with the Dextromethorphan and the Guaifenesin that cause the opposite effect could be very detrimental. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Can i take robitussin softgel and bioflu at the sa...

Hi, I'm looking for a substitute of Wikoryl Syrup, with following composition in USA: Cetrizine/cpm Phenylephrine Paracetamol Please help !! Thank you, Nikunj ## Hi Nikunj, I did some research and unfortunately I'm not finding any cough/allergy medications like Wikoryl in the U.S. that contain Cetirizine, Phenlyephrine, and paracetamol. There are allergy medications such as Zyrtec that contain Cetirizine and other cough medications that contains Phenylephrine and Paracetamol- However I've read that it isn't safe to mix an anti-allergen like Cetirizine with cough/cold medications. The only thing I can think to recommend is Robitussin Allergy and cough syrup which contains: Brompheniramine maleate (2 mg), Dextrmethorphan (10 mg), and Psuedoephedrine (30 mg). This syrup is ...

I want to know the use of wikoryl in dry sore throat treatment ## Wikoryl contains the active ingredients: Paracetamol + Chlorpheniramine maleate + Phenylephrine hydrochloride. Some Wikoryl suspensions contain Caffeine as well. Looking at each individual ingredient: Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is a widely used over-the-counter pain reliever and a fever reducer. Chlorpheniramine helps control the symptoms of cold or allergies but will not treat the cause of the symptoms or speed recovery. Phenylephrine is used to relieve nasal discomfort caused by colds, allergies, and hay fever. It is also used to relieve sinus congestion and pressure. Ph...

can we use zincold tablets for cold ## Hi chappu, From what I've researched, Zincold contains the three active ingredients Cetirizine + Phenylephrine + Paracetamol, which are marketed for use as an antihistamine, a decongestant, and a pain reliever/fever reducer for treating various symptoms that may be associated with the common cold (such as congestion, sinus pressure, discomfort, etc). So while Zincold wont take the cold away, it looks like its supposed to help with some of the symptoms that often come with a cold. Are you doing anything else to help combat symptoms as well or has the Zincold been working fine on its own? Feel better soon!
