is it safe to take panotocid-20 from past 6 years on alternative days ## I had undergone bypass surgery for blocks in the heart. ever since I have a specific problem. The gas released by me gives foul smell. the smell is so bad that I my self can not stay where I release the gas.

My mother is of age 68 years and has been taking pantocid(40 mgs) for past 6 years , (twice or thrice in a week). Because she gets burning in throat / chest. Some times the liquid came out from her nose also. Now she is daily taking Pantop-D (40mg). As she feels above symptoms almost daily / alternate day. We are worried about side effects. Can there be some better alternative. She is also having BP and high cholesterol. And takes BP medicines two times and cholesterol medicine one time. I am patient of Hypertension. Along with other medicines like olemsar 20, my physician prescribed pantocid 20. I take pantocid occasionally. Now a days I am feeling no effect of pantocid regarding gastric problem. Since 4 months i am getting an upset stomach on and off, either i go the the toilet many times a day or hv loose motions. Prescribed to me for Cholestrol and was effective too. What alternative (vegetable/fruits) can I use (I am pure vegetarian) so that I do not have to take it and I can effectively control Triglyseride and LDL mainly. ## I have been prescribed Atorlip-F and Pantocid DSR for Cholestrol control.
