I have been prescribed Pantium 40 (twice daily for 5 days) along with Phexin to treat some skin infection. I am presently in 14 weeks of pregnancy. My question is that is it safe during pregnancy? Possible side effects if any? ## Pantium 40 will not treat a skin infection, it contains Pantoprazole, this is a proton pump inhibitor used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach. It treats conditions such as GERD, hearburn and ulcers. Side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness and flatulence. As to using it during pregnancy, this site is not medical professionals, so it is best to follow your doctors instructions. Phexin, however, is an antibiotic, it contains Cephalexin and will treat various types of infections. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash ... ...

generally for what disease pantium 40 shold be taken ## From what I have found, Pantium is listed as containing Pantoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to treat or prevent conditions, such as heartburn, GERD, ulcers and gastritis, because it reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach. I have been taking pantium pantoprazole 40mg. While on holidays I discovered actavis pantoorazol 40mg (much cheaper). I m presuming the two are the same , just different manufacturers. Any body know more? ## That should have read actavis pantoprazol 40mg ## Hello, Kido! How are you? Yes, they are the same, just manufactured by different companies. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness and stomach pain. i'm taking the above med. for knee pain and ancle pain in my right leg. take it after dinner with pantium40. knee pain is gone but ancle pain hasn.t. I'm 59 yrs and 75 kg of weight with a height of 5.6 ...
