my dad used to use a medicine for mouth sores he got when he chewed- he thought it was called painla- does anyone know. I can't find it. thanks ## Was it an over the counter product? From the name, I'm assuming it probably was and, in that case, it's very hard to say what it was and if it's still available. There are, however, similar products on the market that serve virtually the same purpose, such as Orajel, which contains the topical anesthetic Benzocaine:

Is it normal to have black and blue looking scares. I stopped get my testopel injections cause the area was hurting me all the time plus my last injection the pellets after a month starting coming out. Is any of the normal. ## Hello, Msk! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you've had. No, that's not typical. There may be some bruising and irritation upon initial insertion, but that should go away in a few days and they shouldn't be coming out. I think you may do better seeing a different doctor. The FDA lists this as being a hormonal supplement and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and weight changes. need to find pain doctor in pittsburgh help ## Hi Gina, In regards to finding a pain doctor, I have listed below a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they prescribe the type of medication you are seeking to manage your pain. You may also have to ask if they are accepting new patients; some aren't, but most ...

I took a half of a sub yesterday morning and nothing till today when my bac started killing me, so I took percocet. Will it atleast work for the pain??? ## Hello, Kimmy! How are you? And no, it will not. The Naloxone in the Suboxone neutralizes other narcotics to prevent their abuse, while you're being treated with it. You should ask about what you can take for pain that will work. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I will be traveling to East Coast-Vermont in Sept. and will need to see a pain specialist for numerous spine issues, fibromyalgia, failed operations and a great deal. severe pain ## doctors in new england who will prescribe pain medications? ## Hello, Steve! How are you? Sorry that you're in pain. However, I don't have a listing of doctors that will or will not prescribe medications that I can refer to for you. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly whom you could ask for a referral? If so, that might be the easiest way to get the help you need. Does anyone else know of any good doctors in that area?

How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain. Unfortunately, there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Do you currently have a PCP? If so, then having them refer you to someone would likely be the easiest way of finding the help you need. And what is your general location? That may make it easier for individuals to make recommendations.

I've been having pain in toes on both feet. Wondering if this could be due to flecainide. Pain and tingling about a month after usage. ## Hello, Squirrel! How are you feeling? I'm sorry that you're in pain. It has been known to cause some joint and muscle pain or cramping in some people that take it, though it isn't common. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain. If you've been on it for over a month, then it is most likely that this side effect is going to continue, if it is caused by the medication, so you may need to try a different drug to treat your condition. But, you should have this checked out, because there is a chance that this symptom is unrelated. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Have had extensive blood tes...

Hi. I took Meloxicam 15mg tablet for 14 days. it was a white round pill. Doc told me not to take Advil with it but I could take Tylenol. I took the last pill 48 hours ago. How long before I can take Advil? ## Hello, Pearl! How are you? The reason he told you not to take Advil with it is because both it and Meloxicam are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, so taking them together would be doubling up and raises the risk of possible liver damage and bleeding. However, only a few days are necessary between them to safely switch. None of them linger that long. Unless your doctor specifies otherwise. Is there anything else I can help with?

I just started xeljanz 6 days ago 10mg yesterday felt only slight pain so I went to gym, swimming, and was more active. Today the pain came back. Just wondering if I over did it or normal. How long did it take before you noticed any improvement? ## Hi, Susan! Sorry that you're in pain. Are you feeling any better? You may have overdone it getting that active that soon. I know we always want to do that, just rush out and do everything we've been unable to do for awhile, but sometimes you just can't let yourself, because your body requires more time.
