I need to find a doc in ky that can help me with my pain. I've been going for years now and they decided to take me off my meds. The doctors want to give me shots in my back and I don't want that. I have been on large doses of opioid pain medicine for 8 years. My conditions require it for me to walk and do anything out of bed. Now they are stopping it. I'm not ready to lay down the last couple years of my life, I want to spend it standing. Opioids have been used over 4000 years and a very smart Indian rheumatologist told me they have killed less people than most of the man made pharmaceuticals. One might prescribe medications, while another prefers to use other therapies. So, there's no way to guarantee what any given doctor will do, or if they will or will not prescribe anything. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

I have had 4 back surgeries, 1 neck surgery, 1 rt knee surgery, and 1 rt shoulder surgery. I've been on many pain meds but now what works for me is 10/325 norco. I dont want anything stronger. I am looking for a new doctor one that will preferrably help my chronic lower back pain issue i have suffered for the past 15 years. My dr in Mont., AL has been prescribing me 3 80mg oxycontin for several years. My visit last week he refilled my script and said it could be the last because he was told there was diversion possibly coming from his practice. Btw that was 3 a day. If he doesn't refill my script on my next visit, I need to find a Dr. quick. Is it legal not to wean a patient off? The pain clinics in this town are full. ## If he cannot continue to prescribe, he should be able to refer to another doctor or clinic that will accept his current patients. Has he suggested anyone? Need an pain clinic too treat my pain i have had 2 knee surgerys and taken 2-3 Norco 10 is not treating my pain i also have back pain ## Try TVPC/Spine and Neuro Center in Huntsville. Dr Morris Scherlis is my anesthesiologist and he is great. My only issue with them really is that for office visits I have to see one of his two staff members and the guy(Greg) is kind of an ass. Sorta condescending and suspicious of patients it seems. Also, I have a few other issues besides my back/sciatic pain and I was on several different meds for it including Ativan for anxiety/stress and ambien for sleeping problems due to my pain...I've weaned myself off both of them in the past year and done the same with my muscle relaxers. I was so sick of taking so much medication I just had to do something....

Hi. I've been looking for a dr who will prescribe pain medicine in Queens ny. My dr left his practice and since then all dr's, approximately 10, don't prescribe. I have many ailments and have been on Fentinol along with perks for Breakthrough. Many other meds as well. All these dr's seem to want to do now is shots and physical therapy or acupuncture. I was rear ended in a car accident a month ago.I have anxiety which i have clonazepam for but have not need it for 6months until now.The lady that hit me yelled at me cussing and video recorded me on her phone the whole time.
