My physiologist just informed me after 5yrs. that they would not be accepting Medicaid anymore. I don't know why, I feel like they are trying to push me out. I take Suboxone & Alprazolam. The Suboxone alone is almost $500 & Alprazolam is $130 a month. How am I, (someone who tries to live on Disability) suppose to pay for that? Even w/ my Medicare I'll still have to pay 20%. I had been on Suboxone for almost 8 years. In my opinion it is a wonder drug compared to all the opiates that the pain clinics are all too willing to prescribe .I have been out of my Suboxone for a week & a half. I feel like I am dying. I can not sleep. I have a 5 month old new baby boy. I can hardly pick him up due to the pain that I am in. I hurt all over. i have been so nauseated. My doctor who 's visits were cash bases only, however medicaid would take care of the actual prescription of 60, 8 mg. At one time I WAS PRESCRIBED 4, 8 MG SUBS A DAY. i WOULD KILL JUST TO HAVE A QUARTER RIGHT NOW TO FEEL LIKE NORMAL AGAIN. My doctor decided that he no longer wants to deal with any one with medicaid due to the fact that his office does not "LIKE TO HANDLE PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS ...

Does anyone else have any ideas? Why did he drop you?

I heard there is a website you can go to if you're disabled on Medicaid and Medicare in Virginia with a list of doctor's who accept it for Subutex and I also was told just pick up the phone and call each one until you find one that is seeing new patients at this time. If anyone can help me plz just post back if possible. ## I had been calling all these doctors that are popping up on the internet as it takes a specific type of doctor's or a special requirement for your own doctor to write prescriptions like methadose/methadone Suboxone an Subutex an my pain med doctor can only write my pain meds cause he don't have the other license to prescribe those 3 so I heard there is a Medicaid or Medicare website with a list of prescribing doctors that will see a patient with Medic...

Need a doctor who prescribes suboxone in Indiana - i am on medicaid. ## While I'm not aware of which doctors accept medicaid, I can provide you with links to help you locate specific pain management doctors within your local area. I am from Bham Al. I was seeing a doctor there that prescribed Adderal 30mg once daily. I am an adult and have dealt with ADHD for as long as I remember. The doctor also prescribed my bipolar depression meds and I also have been on Hormones that has made me feel like a new person. I was having a very hard time with menopause. I am not searching for anything that I don't need. As a matter of fact when I left Bham Al., I had been on Methadone for almost 2 years. I was taking 140mg a day. I was in a terrible car accident and was going to a pain clinic before the methadone clinic. The pain doctor stopped taking Medicaid and a friend told me about the Methadone clinic so I hurt so bad that I had no choice but to try it. After being on the Methadone even though I had no pain I began to no...
