My Family and I moved here over a year ago from Nevada where My husband and I were seeing a Pain Management doctor in which I was prescribed Pain Medicine, a Muscle Relaxer, Ibuprofen, and also did as I was in doing 2 Steroid Injections, that did nothing for my lower back pain at all, I also have Neck Pain, this was due to a car accident that we were in 2010, I was in 3 previous car accidents prior to meeting my husband, none at my fault one i was hit by a drunk driver, I also had back pain with twins that were born 17 days earlier via C Section 7 lbs each baby, and two pregnancy that were Hell on my Neck and Back during the pregnancies.... I am searching for a good pain management doctor in Louisiana. The only pain medication I can tolerate is Methadone. ## You will need a copy of your medical records from your previous dr. There is no guarantee that another dr will prescribe you Methadone. When someone asks for a specific drug, it is a red flag or drug seekers. So it might be best to get an appointment and see a dr and take your medical records. I’m in Lake Charles and my Doctor stopped my Percocet 10/325 mainly because I was complaining about it no longer working. Different manufacturers & fillers I believe. Anyway I’m currently on SSI Disability for my chronic pain and since stopping the Oxycodone last August I’ve had no quality of life. And the next issues is that you really aren't going to be able to see a new doctor and ask for a specific medication, because they are taught to see that as drug seeking behavior. I have been taking 120 mg of methadone for approximately 5 years. My husbands job transferred us from Florida to Louisiana where I found a pretty good pain doc. He is now running scared and wants to take me off of methadone. Methadone has given me a good quality of life; I am able to work and be a productive member of society. I have 3 herniated disc one setting on my root nerve. Scoliosis anterior fusion c3 and 4.Disc space narrowing at L5-si with reactive bony endplate changes . Decreased disc signal L4-L5 and diffuse facet arthropathy. I had been on Suboxone for almost 8 years. In my opinion it is a wonder drug compared to all the opiates that the pain clinics are all too willing to prescribe .I have been out of my Suboxone for a week & a half. I feel like I am dying.
