Oxycontin Op 30 Mg

I've been taking oxycontin 30mg with oc on them - this time i got oxycontin 30 with op on them and they seem to make me sick. What is the difference? ## Oxycontin OP is brand new to the market and is replacing the regular Oxycontin. The only difference is that the Oxycontin OP has been specially formulated to help prevent abuse. Even if someone tries to crush or chew it, it will retain its time released properties. Otherwise, it works the same and has the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. OMG I felt like I was being posioned. I have taken OC for 3 years now, it has made my life managable. I suffer from severe chronic pain. I started taking the new OP 20mg on Friday 3X daily. After the 2nd dose I felt sick to stomach I did not relate it to pill, After 2nd day I felt like I was going to die. Could not eat or drink or sleep. Had chills like withdrawal symptoms. Day 3 throwing up, stopped taking the pills. Two days have past I now take the Opana, as soon as I started taking the Opana my symptoms were subsiding. Does it hurt the op 40's if they are cut in half? I don't like to take the whole pill at once. ## Since these are time released tablets, it isn't advisable that you cut them in half, because even with the new formulation, it could still result in the Oxycodone being released faster, so you get too much in your body, at once. what color is a oxycontin 30 mg. ## The new ones should be marked OP 30 and they should be brown, the same as the original OC 30 was, Purdue has kept them the same colors. Note: This only applies to Oxycontin. If what you have is some other formulation, then it can be any color the manufacturer wants it to be and only the markings on the tablet will enable us to figure out what it is. What are the markings on the tablet in question?

Im perscribed OC 40 mg. with the OP on the market the OC became the generic Oxycodone 40 mg. The question is there is Oxycontin 40 mg in capsules. Basicly is that equal to the Oxycodone 40 without the buffer in it ## There is no generic for Oxycontin, both the one with the OC and the one with the OP marking are made by Purdue, they just reformulated to help prevent abuse and discontinued manufacturing the original that had the OC marking. Oxycontin contains Oxycodone in a time released formulation. As to the other formulations, no, there is none available in a 40mg dosage. The immediate release capsule is only available in a 5mg dosage and the regular release tablets are only available in a maximum dosage of 30mgs. Is there anything else I can help with?

Just switched over from oxy 30mg instant release 6x daily to oxycontin 60mg with 2 30mg IR for breakthrough. Been on this for a long time. I find that I'm very disappointed with the oxycontin 60 it seems to only last 5 hours at the most and I have many breakthrough pains during that period of time. I've heard of oxymorphone ER and want to know if this would be better for me due to opioid tolerance. If anybody can give me opinions on this please do. Thanks. ## First off, the 30mg that you're taking cannot be instant release tablets, the instant release is only available in a 5mg capsule. I am in pain management and I currently take oxy 30mg 3x's a day... my doctor is willing to switch me to something else if I want, since the oxys do not provide enough relief. when I asked her what kind of dose I would start at the only thing she would match mg for mg would be morphine..opana she will only start me at 20mg 2 per day. does anyone know if this would be equal to the oxy I take now?? Consider this! With the change related to Oxycontin my problem is the OP type of Medication just doesn't work! So... My doctor has added additonal 30mg Oxycodone's to my monthly medication list. The problem we are having is coming up with a near equal dosage. Depending upon which phamacist you talk to we are getting differnet answers. It doesn't matter howe many tablets you are prescribed the research is done by considering one 80mg Oxycodone and trying to come up wit hthe equal dosage using 30mg Oxycodone. Ive been taking the oxycontin for 10 yrs. best drug I ever had till the ops just came out. I only swallow them as directed. It used to take 30 min for me to feel them. Now its 3 hrs. and then it just slowly releases. A lortab is even better now. used to take a 40mg at 5 am-11am-and 5 pm. they worked great. some people I know couldnt take them for i made them drowsy or sick at their stomach. not for Me, it kept Me motivated and was perfect for my arthritis. I am recovering from an intense spinal surgery and was given an rx for 60 mg oxycontin. I filled it last month at my regular CVS, but they said it was removed from the books, they even called other CVS who checked and said it was removed from their books as well, guessing that CVS doesn't carry it anymore. If you cut in half a new oxycontin OP no matter the doses (10, 20, 30, 40 etc.) does it retain the same time release quality? I have a blue round pill that has an R on the top and 215 on the bottom. I cannot remember if it is my Oxycontin or the generic for it. I have some very painful condition which I am on Oxycontin 30 mg twice a day and 10/325 oxycodone / APAP. I am on disability I am 36 years old and when my medicare kicks in and my drug plan does not cover Oxycontin so I had a list of drugs they would cover and Opana ER is one that is covered and he wants to start me on Opana ER 10 mg he mention fentanyl patches also I am looking for pain relief not the high.
