can i take oxycodone with ibuprofen
4 Replies RSS
I just gave my husband 600mg ibuprofen 2 hrs ago. Can I give him the 10 mg oxycodone now or do I have to wait 2 more hours? ## Yes, ibuprofen is a different class of drug and can be taken at the same time, though for better pain control they are often staggered. So if he's prescribed oxycodone every 6 hours, you could give a dose, then 3 hrs later give ibuprofen, 3 hrs later give the oxycodone again...and so on. Just make sure he's not exceeding the max dose per day of oxycodone. ## @Stark, I just wanted to add a second opinion, in that Oxycodone + Ibuprofen is also available as a combination med that goes by the name of "Combunox". Although I've only ever seen this particular med available in a dose containing 5mgs of Oxycodone + 400mgs of Ibuprofen, and haven't... ...

doc gave 10mg oxycodone ER but can only take 1 every 12 hours and its not working for pain!! wondering if u can take it sooner than the 12 hours? ## You may take one sooner, depending on your tolerance level... how long you've been taking the medication, etc. I wouldn't take it any sooner than 6hrs from your last pill. Time release pills often do not work as well as regular release pain medications I've found. Instead of taking another pill sooner, you might want to talk with your doctor and see if they will put you on a pain medication that isn't time release. ## You should not exceed your doctor's dosing instructions. If the given dosage is not helping you, you should inform them, as you may need a dosage adjustment, or to try a different medication. The FDA warns ... ...

my friend takes 15 mg oxycodone ## Did you have any specific questions about it? The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It is an excellent analgesic that works well for most people and is often the drug of choice for someone with severe pain that may not respond to other treatment options. You may be more familiar with under the names Roxicodone, Percocet and Oxycontin, all of which contain it as an active ingredient. ...

I JUST WANT TO STOP THE NAUSEA. STRENGTH NO PROBLEM. JUST NAUSEA. 30 MG. IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TO. MORPHINE 30. & PURE OXYCODONE 30 MG. THANKS ANYBODY. ## Oxycodone and Morphine are similar drugs used for pain control. It all depends on how each person tolerates it. Morphine often makes people sick and nauseaus and vomit. Oxycodone on the other hand may not. Morphine makes me sick and oxycodone doesnt at all. I think it works better too. I think you will be fine and to give it a try ## I had the same problem with them. Oxycodone didn't really cause me any severe problems,... ...

Cost of oxycodone 30 mg cont.

Most unaffiliated pharmacies will always be cheaper in price for people without insurance. Walmart/Target/Walgreens/Costco/CVS etc are big chains and will not help ppl without insurance. Stay away from those phony Medical cards claiming to save on RX's prices, they do no good for you. They basically tell the pharmacy to charge you more than cost, and split the difference with the pharmacy, hence you pay more then necessary. On average, you can get 180 QNTY 30MG Oxy from independent pharmacies for around 100$. Do not pay those big chains 250-900$, they are ripping you off if you do go there to fill your prescription. ## Actually, the opposite of what you've said is true, in many cases. The large chains often buy in bulk, which lowers their price and thus, lowers the price for uni... ...

If I took a 20 mg of prednisone this morning for my bad knee can I take a 5 mg of oxycodone later in the evening can't take the pain? ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? That should be fine, as long as they've both been prescribed by your doctor. I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between the two, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. However, these medications are often prescribed together. Prednisone is classified by the FDA as a steroid that is used to treat swelling, inflammation, allergic reactions and immune disorders. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, fluid retention, acne and insomnia. Oxycodone is classified as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may ca... ...

Are there any pharmacies in ga or Al that are compounding these 32 mg Oxycodone, i see that florida to my south is doing this. Does anyone know if the practice has been allowed to come to these states ? ## This isn't something that can be done by any and all pharmacies. There are actually specialty compounding pharmacies and there are some in every state, though you'd need to check your local directories to see if there is one near you. Often they are located near large hospitals, since someone may need special medications ordered. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for your response, the reason... ...

Oxycodone Aurobino U23 15mg oxycodone vs other generics
1 Reply RSS
My pharmacy has been switching prescription generics between 15 mg oxycodone HCL tablets for more than a year now. It is not unusual for me to get a new generic every time I fill my prescription and in many instances they will give me two different forms of the generic for one prescription because they switch so often. They have now put me on AUROBINDO which does not work at all for my chronic pain and if that wasn't bad enough they also provide counterfeit information in the form of paperwork claiming that the drug I have been given is actually manufactured by Mallinkrodt. I have pictures of the label as well as documentation from the FDA that claims my prescription is from a manufacturer that it is not from. The other concern I have is that I spoke with my pharmacist about this an... ...

My parent, who is prescribed 15mg generic Percocet for chronic pain in her joints is having a hard time finding a pharmacy that has the medication on hand. Quality of life is greatly improved by the proper use of this important medication. Without it, quality of life is greatly diminished. The medicine is a God send, provided the prescription be filled in a timely manner. It seems as though nobody wants to carry it. Most often, it has to be ordered and the time it takes for it to come in throws everything off schedule. I have one white oblong pill with an imprint/stamp of a (small) l & the #'s 484. Came back as oxycodone 10 mgs first, but then acetaminophen 500 mgs. Which is correct? ## This is an over the counter medication that is listed by the FDA as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen. It is a generic or store brand of Tylenol, often carried by various stores owned by the Kroger Company. Oxycodone Acetamnophen 10 325MG TB What is the time limited for the drug store to fill this prescription. ## Hello, Ann! How are you? Generally, it's a fairly short one, since it is a narcotic, but I'm not sure of the precise time limit. Have you asked your pharmacist? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have somewhat severe Crohn's disease and was diagnosed at 15 but had bad stomach issues long before that. I'm now 19 years old and I've been on just about every treatment for the disease and nothing has ever worked. A few years ago I had 1.5 feet of my colon removed since it had become so inflamed and ulcerated. I've tried everything but nothing helps it seems. I spend everyday in severe pain to the point where I can't work and I can't go to school. I'm watching my youth pass me by and being completely revolved around my disease. I often go to the bathroom 10-20 times a day and my stomach is constantly in severe pain with spasms and joint pains as well. I've been on Vicodin, Percocet, OxyContin, and now I'm just on 4 15 mg oxycodone hcl a day. I... ...

Will I get sick from taking 4-12 mg of dilaudid for approx 60 days? I am having a hip finally tomorrow. Thanks ## Hello, Boston59! How are you? It is difficult to say with certainty. It really depends on your own body and how it reacts to withdrawing from a medication like this. For example, when I had my surgery and was taking Oxycodone for a few weeks afterwards, I didn't have a problem stopping it, when no longer needed, but not everyone does well. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? How often do you take it? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## If you didn't use it iv. I was told that these yellow round pills are 40 mg oxycontin (oxycodone), where are they from, I know they are not from the U.S, if there real, but does any one know what they could be? or anything about these yellow round pill? ## @momtg, Without an imprint to signify what it is, who makes it, or how much of whatever it is it contains, determining anything at all is merely speculation. However many pain patients who are unable to receive appropriate care in the US often resort to finding their medication(s) off the internet. And I do know that the country of India is a big player in this game of web-based pharmacies, importing both counterfeits and real meds alike. So depending on how you came across this pill, that possibility might be something to take into account upon determining i... ...

How does this compare (strength wise) to the Norco 10mg/325? I was taking those one per four hours? ## Hello, Katy! How are you? The Oxycodone is stronger, but since it's time released and you aren't taking it as often, you're probably looking at about an equivalent level of pain relief. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Also, is it legal to drive a car while taking a low dose of oxicodin ? thanks ## How long the effects last can depend on what type of Oxycodone release you are taking and how often you have been taking it. Are you taking a time released formulation, a regular release tablet or an instant release? As to driving, it is not illegal while you are on a regular dosage, however, it is recommended that you refrain from doing so, until you are sure of how your body is going to react to the medication, If you are taking it and you know it impairs you, you can get pulled over and receive a DUI, just like you would if you were drinking and driving. ...

10 mg Zohydro ER strength compared to 10 mg narco ?
3 Replies RSS
Has anyone taken 10 mg hydrocodone tabs 1to 3 tabs at once to help with your pain. I want to know what I can expect in the strength of 10 mg er once taken . Is it the same as 1 hydro or much stronger ? I have some breathing issues taking 10 mg OxyContin but not with 15 -30 mg. IR 30 mg oxycodone. ## The FDA considers oxy and hydro to be morphine equivalents, but some feel oxy is stronger. Zohydro is a 12hr er med. Depending on how often you were taking oxy, to replace a 10mg er dose your doc would probably start you at 15mg or 20mg Zo and adjust from there. A problem with taking three ir norco doses at once is that each dose usually has 325mg of acetaminophen. While many docs feel that up to three grams of acetaminophen a day not a problem, it serves to analgesic purpose for real pain a... ...
