is there Tylenol or aspirin in op20's? ## Hello, Crazdeb! How are you? No, Oxycontin only contains the narcotic Oxycodone in a time released formulation. There are no other active ingredients. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank hard to find ingredients and I have stomach problems ,soo thank you for your knowledge

I have a blue pill the guy said it is a ocycodone 20 But I can not tell I guess they got a little wet hpe else could I verify what they are ## Hi Canun, I'm assuming that you're referring to the pharmacist when you mention "the guy"; but if not, there's no guarantee that it is what "the guy" said it is. Depending on whether you filled a script at a licensed pharmacy, received a pain pill at a hospital, or obtained it through other means, the answer to this question should be pretty obvious in that licensed pharmacies and hospitals usually dispense identifiable tablets. The latter would probably be a counterfeit. Does it at least have any markings that you can make out? On one last note, legitimate 20mg Oxycodone is reportedly gray in color and not blue. It al...

I have a round white 20mg oxycodone pill. Is it ok to cut in half? I did and it made me feel really funny. ## What are the markings on it? I'm sorry, but I need this additional information in order to research it for you, can you please post back and clarify? Exactly what do you mean by it making you feel funny? Can you please be more specific regarding your symptoms? The FDA does warn that it may cause nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation as side effects. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. ## Reading your post made me feel really funny. If cutting that small of a milligram in half made you feel funny, I wish I had your tolerance. ## I take 20mg oxycodone but I can't split it in half. WHY is that?

What markings are on the roxy 20mg pill? Also, what color are they? ## Well, first I'd like to explain that Roxicodone is not an immediate release formulation of Oxycodone, it is the regular release formulation. The only dosage available in the OxyIR is a 5mg capsule. Anything over 5mgs and in tablet form is either the regular release (Roxicodone), or the time released formulation, which is known as Oxycontin. That said, there is no 20mg Roxicodone tablet, the only 20mg available is a time released Oxycontin, which has the OP on one side, the number 20 on the other and is pink. Does this match the pill you have? If not, please post back with the markings on it, so I can check what it is for you. Thanks! is my pain relief being diminished unknown to me? Thanks ## Hello, Stew! How are you? How long have you been taking the same dose? Our bodies do tend to get used to anything we ingest for a long period of time and it will eventually stop working as well for us. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What are the markings on the tablets in question?

Is 20 mg oxycodone time release or not and how can I tell ## If you're prescribed it, there will be an ER on the bottle, what color is the pill and are there any #'s on it? ## The only time released Oxycodone available in the U.S. is the brand name Oxycontin, which has either an OC or an OP on the tablet and would have a 20 on the other and is pink. If that is not what you have, then you have a regular release formulation that is a generic for Roxicodone. Here's a link to learn more Oxycodone details for anyone that may need it. There is also an instant release, but it is only available in 5mg capsules. What are the markings on the tablet you're asking about?

I ahve been going to a family orientated pharmacy for my oxycodone 20mg they have the prescription always for me but I have used other pharmacists and it seems that the others have better quality meds are better than the one I go too is it because of different manufacturers and why is that?? ## Yes, it could be, there can be differences between generic medications as allowed under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984. They are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20%, but they do not have to measure against each other, only against the name brand, so it is conceivable that the one you've received is slightly lower in the amount of Oxycodone than the prior one you were taking. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may caus...

I bounce between two Wal-Mart pharmacy's (a few miles apart). My regular Wal-Mart pharmacy has not had my prescription of OxyCODONE more than three times in the past 36 mounts (3 years) It seems to be very lazy pharmacy employees. These two of three (all three) Wal-Marts in my city, dispense different medications for the same prescription. I cannot get a straight answer from any of their employees why they dispense different medications from the same pharmacy group. I believe the KVK activate quickly but do not last as long as the RHO. The RHO seem to work a little longer but not as strong. Beside constipation, side effects are small. But I am running into problems as the medications are not working for a long. The pain relief is not as powerful as 6 months ago. My doctor, a very go...

Any idea if oxy immediate release by Rhodes Pharma may be left over from a placebo study ? ## Starting last month, I was given these in 20mg tablets. I always feel sick, have a headache, and get no pain relief. It's awful. I just left a message for my dr to see if I can forfeit these, drop my dosage, and get another manufacturer. Something is really, really wrong with these pills. ## Unfortunately, not every product from every manufacturer works for everyone that tries it, since we are all different. I know that doesn't help your situation, I am just giving the basic facts. You are not the first to complain about this Oxycodone, and I am sure there will be more complaints, as well. It worked well for me, when I took it, after dental surgery, but that was several years ago, and I...

1500mg of oxy or roxi a day. Give or take 300mg ## @Mike, Your description is a bit vague, so I don't know what it is you might be referring to with that type of dosage in mind, but I've never heard of anyone taking 1500mgs of Oxycodone in a day! That sounds like it's far beyond the point of someone abusing it; maybe for someone who just wants to put an end to their life. Even for severe cancer patients, the average daily dose of controlled release Oxycontin can range from 20mg to 640mg per day. And for immediate release, doses higher than 30mg are rarely needed or prescribed. So I guess my question to you is, why would you recommend such a remotely high dosage of this drug knowing that very few people don't even take half of what you suggested? ## 1500mg a day is a deat...
