I've been taking Oxycodone 30mg for quite some time for 2 medical conditions. This month Feb 2016, I went to refill prescription and only half of the script was available. This is in WI. I have been taking Oxycodone for 3 years for my herniated disk in my upper back. I usually have been getting the ALV 196 (5mg) blue tablets but I can no longer find them at any pharmacy in Ohio where I live. The only brands that work for me are the ALV 196 or the IP 203 tablets. I got my prescription last week, and drove 200 miles, and can't fill the roxycodone 30's 150. Ive gone to Walgreens for about a year, with no problems. I get 10 mg. Endocodil in Mexico made by BioGenTec. It is supposed to be the same as the oxycontin prescribed to me in the U.S. However it is not the time released version that I prefer, and is very expensive. From what I understand, because each pill is manufactured by a different company, not only is there going to be a slight variation of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), but also if the medication is in generic form, it is permitted by the FDA to contain as much as 20% more or less of the actual active ingredient as well.
