However, I can't provide you with any other details, without knowing the manufacturer or markings on it. Can you please post back with more information? Thanks! ## It's just oxycodone, which is what I prefer. Trying to get my doctor to prescribe a higher dosage (10,20 mgs ) is next to impossible. He prescribed oxycodone (IR) Immediate Release. I don't like them. I am honest and take my pain medication as prescribed, however others who have abused and misused the drug, have made it very difficult to get pain meds. There actually aren't any in the higher doses that are immediate release, the only immediate release ones available are 5mg capsules. The one you've asked about is a 15mg regular release tablet that's manufactured by Vintage Pharmaceuticals. They generally take about 15 to 20 minutes to start working. How long would it take a 15mg immediate release morphine to enter your bloodstream after orally taking it ## PIill Identifier,Oxycodone 15MG immediate release ## Hello, BabyGaby! How are you? There are not immediate release Morphine tablets, only regular release and extended release. Both of those will take about 15 to 20 minutes to start working, once you take them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Luis, what are you asking? There is no 15mg immediate release Oxycodone. ## Is morphine sulfate 15 mg immediate release supposed to dissolve instantly? Is the Amneal generic brand for oxycodone 20mg, gray in color, round, marked A 50 on either side of the score line and no marks on other side IMMEDIATE RELEASE? It certainly has the quick melting and is extremely bitter just like KVK I have been taking which I am positive is IR. I hope someone knows the answer....thanks in advance. ## First of all, to clarify, the only actual immediate release Oxycodone is only available in a 5mg capsule. Beyond that, there are regular release formulations, and the extended release Oxycontin. In many cases the regular release is just called 'immediate release' because all of the medication is released, at once, unlike Oxycontin, which slowly releases the dosage overtime. However, the regular release formulations still take about 15 to 20 minutes... ...

Taking these small round pink tablets specified as 10mg IMM REL for severe back pain. I tam allowed three a day...not a lot of relief ## There is no immediate release 10mg Oxycodone tablet, the immediate release is only available as a 5mg tablet. Learn more Oxycodone details here. If you have a 10mg tablet, it's either a regular release, or an extended release which would be Oxycontin. There is a small, pink, round tablet with the marking K 56 that contains 10mgs and its a regular release tablet, which means it will take 20 to 30 minutes to start having an effect in the body. There's also one with ETH 461 on it that's pink and is another 10mg regular release tablet. I was prescribed oxycodone 5 mg capsules (immediate release). The pharmacy only had the tablets. My question is, are they the same strength? ## Yes, it will just take a little bit longer for the medication to enter your blood stream and start working. Usually, about 15 to 20 minutes. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. 15 mg morphine er compared to oxycodone 10
2 Replies RSS
Which medication is stronger: 15 mg Morphine ER or 10/325 Oxycodone or Hydrocodone 10/325 ## They are very similar. My doctor has put me on and we've tried to figure out what works. best. I get 10mg Norco & 20mg Oxycodone, and I alternate, it REALLY helps!!! (I have a LOT of medical issues.) ## @birdie, I think as post #1 suggested, you pretty much just have to work with your doctor to find out what best suits your level of pain. Some people debate that oxycodone is a step up from hydrocodone. I think the answer may vary with each individual based on personal preference. And as far as comparing morphine ER to immediate release oxycodone, there's probably no easy way to determine an equivalent dose since one is being slowly released...However if it's of any help, the foll... ...

Are Dilaudid and Oxycodone the same?
9 Replies RSS
My dr switched my oxycodone 30mg to dilaudid 8 mg. I am wondering how they compare to one another? ## Based on my research, Dilaudid is much stronger then Oxycodone, but it doesn't last very long in it's immediate release formula. Oxycodone has an extended release formula (Oxycontin); which may be better suited for some people when used chronically for long term pain relief. 8mg of Dilaudid is "roughly equivalent" to 20mg of Oxycodone. This information is based on my own findings and is not relative to each individual's body chemistry or cross tolerance, as every drug can effect each person differently. I hope this info helps! ## what mg of dilaudid is equal to 15 mg of oxycodone? ## 16MG of dilaudid(2 8mg tabs) is equal to 30mg oxycodone. Swallowing dilaudid is way ... ...

It is tan on one side and orange on the other? ## Pill Image This is Oxy IR 5mgs, Oxycodone Instant Release. ## Response ## A quite small cap that disolves quickly dispersing the mg's so stated. The tabs tend to mix with foods and can slow absorbtion (approx. 20-45minutes). However the IR's mix much quicker (10-20minutes) although with the same outcome. There is such a slight difference in absorbtion and need that one can not tell much difference. Age of the drug is most important - yet pharmacies seldom issue product 'made dates' and expect drugs as these (opiates for cronic pain) to be used immediately and without a storage issue. Yet the custo... ...

I have only taken one dose of the oxy ## Oxycontin is a time released formulation of Oxycodone and it will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes, after you take it, to start working. Then it is slowly released for approximately 12 hours. As to the Vicodin, you shouldn't take more of that than what your doctor, or pharmacist has instructed. I have been a resident of a skilled nursing facility since the beginning of January 2015. My main issues of admittance was seizures not pain management that I have learned to deal with. I am being issued 1 oxycodone 5mg and told it is a 10 mg. the 1 mg. lorazepam is .5 and I am told it is 1 mg. then finally the 45 mg. morphine is given in 3 15 mg. to equal 45 mgs.
