ive been taking these pills for a week and feel emptiness in my stomach and feel like throwing up and sometimes coughing or gagging until i do. i just switched from taking a high dose of xanax to these. could i be having withdrawals? ## Sounds like stuff I wouldn't dig? This is not xanax, it is just a regular anti depressant which will not take care of your xanax withdrawal. And yes, the feelings you are having is detox ... it's the same way I feel when I don't have my xanax. The detox symptoms can last for months to years, if you don't believe me look it up. ## I didn't see anyone mention that this was supposed to be Xanax? You're right though, it's not. A pink oval pill marked with IP 53 is a 20mg Citalopram hydrobromide tablet - An antidepressant of the SSRI class. If someone is going through Xanax withdrawal one thing I'd recommend is to see if your doctor will help taper you off to make for an easier/safer transition.
