do they make 80 mg opana

I know they make a 40 mg er opana . But do they make a 80 mg er opana ?? ## No, the 40mg is the maximum dosage available. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

opana vs oxycontin 80 mg
1 Reply RSS
been on oxycontin for 4 years and is not working as well since they switched formula ## There have been many complaints about this. Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is actually stronger than Oxycodone, requiring just half the dose. So, if you were taking 80mgs of Oxycontin, you would need just 40mgs of Opana. Since it is a narcotic, the side effect profile is basically the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. opana 40mg vs oxycontin op 80mg

my Dr prescribed Opana 40mg as alternative to Oxy 80 mg 2 twice a day which I would insufflate - I didn't tell him this of course. he claimed them to be just as good if not stronger can any one share about opana 40mg ## Inhaling medications that are not intended for that method of usage is very dangerous. You run the risk of overdose and creating blockages in your lungs, which can lead to breathing problems, embolisms and stroke. Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, this is a potent narcotic pain reliever. Side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. THis dosage is about the same as what you were taking of the Oxycontin. Do you have any other questions? ## i was taking three oc 40's a day, when the new op 40's came out they seemed to... ...

i have been on both oxycotin 80mg and opana 40mg, i started off on opana and when they were changeing the ingred. i had to go on oxycotin 80 mg, i will always say opana 40 are alot stronger than oxycotin 80s i get alot more pain relief on opanas, i read all the time its 10mgs of opana to 30mgs of oxycotin i believe it.... ## Hello, Delta! How are you? Opana is actually twice as strong as Oxycodone, so it would take 20mgs of Oxycodone to equal 10mgs of Opana and how well it works can vary from person to person. There are other posts on here from people who had better results with Oxycontin than they had with Opana. Do the new ones have same effects? ## In theory they should, but just like when Oxycontin was reformulated, there have been people who have complained and said they do not work as well as they used to. The only thing you can really do is try them and see how well they work for you. Are there any questions or comments? ## Thank You for your honesty and I hope they work because 1400.00 is alot of money to put out on something that doesnt work but every1 is different and I would ask doctor to write a 1 week script and see but he is on vacation and has already has by scripts wrote and for me to come and sign for them this month so I am stuck, but Thank You and if you hear of somehing else that is as good as the opana 40mg then please let me know because I was on the oxycotin 80 mg and didnt... ...

8 Replies RSS
Are the opana 40 mg ER's made to be abuse proof like the oxycontin 80mg er's? what other long acting pain meds are on the market that would compare to the oxycontin 80 mg er's? ## No, Opana is not made with the same formulation that the Oxycontin is, that was something specifically developed by Purdue Pharma, because the abuse of the Oxycontin and diversion has become such a huge and widespread problem. Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, which is also a very potent narcotic and may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: As to other time released options, there is also a time released formulation of Morphine, the name brand for it is MS Contin, though it is also available as a generic: There is also a patch that co... ...

I do not know why anyone hasn't mentoned methadone ? Opana. Diaudid are both IR drugs. The pain relief never lasts long and tolerance develops quickly. Methadone is an instant release medication whose long half life cannot be beat. There is a new law or regulation that if your pain management Doctor has you on methadone that an EKG has to be done each year. Evidently methadone can contribute to heart arythmias but lower dose's ( under 80mg ) seem to be fine. 80 mg of methadone will keep almost anyone pain free ( and possibly asleep) and the duration is 24 hours. I was on methadone maintenance for years but not for chronic pain I am an addict but now in recovery from all drugs and etoh but methadone is a great pain medication for chronic pain sufferers but has a bad reputation be... ...

I recently got 80mg OC OxyContin that are green but they do not help me at all almost as if they were fake, does anyone know about them? Are the OC coming back? I need to know right away! Thanks so much ! ## No, at this time Purdue has no intention of bringing the original formulation back to market. If that's what you have, they are either fake or extremely old and have lost efficacy, as medications tend to do over time. The FDA classifies Oxycontin as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I was on the Oxycontin 80mg 3x a day for 16 yrs. I have been tried on alot of other things . I went on methadone w/ 2 40mg of oxy then they quit making the methadone that iI took. I am now taking ms contin 100mg. a day w/15 mg. 2x a day it is not enough and my Dr. who gave me a hard time off and on about the oxy's now refuses to do the irs that are still available with any other meds. I've took the opana and at the time it seemed fine but pricey that has been a couple of years ago just to see. They have a cap I did not take the er's though. I live troy,mi do anybody know any pharmacy that have them,or oxycontin, thank ## Hello, To help you with your search - listed below is a pharmacy-locator, that uses your zip code to find nearby pharmacies within a given mile range: pharmacylocator.unarxcard.com Phone numbers and addresses are included in the list after you verify your zip code; so I would suggest visiting a number of them to see if anyone can fill your prescription (calling them generally isn't recommended, as they are trained to say no on the phone if a stranger is asking for narcotics). You may have to consider looking at online pharmacies as a last resort if this doesn't work out. I would then recommend checking with sites such as PharmacyChecker, as they only list certified (reputable) online pharmacies. Alt... ...

What Is The Equivilant Of 80 Oxycontin And Opana
1 Reply RSS
I have been on oxycontin 80 mg. they made me really sick and did not help my pain. What is the equivalent of oxy. 80 mg and opana? ## Information that I've gathered on this topic from various references states the following: "All opioids have different effects. There is no such thing as "equivalent" dosages. Body chemistry is very different in everyone, so an "equivalent" dosage for one person could cause another to OD" Just to further reiterate this - according to opiate equivalency tables, 40mg of Oxymorphone (opana) injected roughly equals 800mg of Oxycodone." (This is not a typo). What I highly recommend, is to discuss your situation with a qualified doctor instead of asking someone else what an equivalent dose would be, since it can vary on a case by... ...
