what does an opana 60 mg look like? ## There is not a 60mg Opana available on the U.S. market. Opana is a very potent narcotic that contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is only available in a maximum of 10mgs. Was it perhaps a different medication that you were thinking of? There are tablets of both Morphine and Oxycodone that are available in 60mg dosages. ## Opana is not available in a 60mg. pill. You would need to be prescribed 1-40mg., and 1-20mg., in order to be taking 60mg. of Opana. ## Is there a red round 60 mg opana?

Do they make a 60mg opana now or do they give you two 30s at a time? Someone please bye very helpful!! ## Opana is only available in a maximum of 40mgs. And, except in extreme cases such as someone having terminal cancer pain, no a doctor would not be able to prescribe that much. Learn more Opana details here. Under the new regulations, anyone else requiring this medication for pain can only receive the maximum available dosage, the maximum number of recommended times per day…. and even if a doctor did try to write for 2 of the 30mg tablets, no pharmacy would fill it. As I said, the only exceptions to the new regulations are those in severe pain from terminal illness. This medication is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, s...

My Pain Dr is changing my medication from oxycontin 60 mg to opana 30 He is trying to get the pain level to a point that I can be to a point My pain is live able What is the difference I am reading its twice as strong but If your getting 1/2 your dose So Wont the pain medication still more or less be the Same? I start on Monday So any info is appreciated thank you ## SWEET: Supposedly, the Opana actually stays around for 12 hours, whereas you probably know, the Oxy does not. BUT: Opana is very expensive, and depending on where you live, it is very hard to find a pharmacy that carries it. I live in a large metropolitan area, and I found 1 pharmacy that had it, but my copay was 330.00, so I declined. Also, check with your insurance company about what drugs they will pay for in that class ...

I was prescribed 10 mg Opana when my dr changed my 60 mg morphine to reduce the mg quantity due to the Narcotics and Controlled Substance bs. the pharmacist said it was equivalent as far as the dosage and ability to control the pain. I took a whole one due to not being able to break it and feel there is no comparison. Is this something that gets better the more you take it? ## It actually takes 20mgs of Opana to equal each 60mgs of Morphine. So, that may be why you're not getting as much relief. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you informed your doctor that this dose isn't helping your pain?

I am on both of these meds do to severe medical issues. I take 40 Mg of opana 4 x daily and 30 Mg of oxycodone 5 x daily as well as Nortriptyline 150 Mg twice daily and neurontin 600 Mg 3 x daily. Needless to say a few different stomach medication due to chronic nausea. Oh and also phenergan pills and injectable. My question is has anyone found anything other than multiple medications to relieve severe chronic pain. ## I also have severe medical problems and nothing works. For two years was on 3Mg iv dilaudid every three hours and 120 percocet 10/325 every month. Zofran for nausea. Overdosed a couple months ago (imagine that) and been dropped four 5/325 percocet a day and now in constant pain... Not sure how to adjust. ## Have either of you ever tried the Fentanyl patch? It's a very...

I was on Opana 40 2 x daily plus 10 mg of oxymorphone hcl every 6 hrs. Since the recent changes, I have been switched to Arymo 60 2x daily and still take the 10 mg oxymorphone every 6 hrs. The Arymo does not seem to be working well. Is there something else that I can ask for that will help with the pain? I too am awake most of the night tossing and turning due to pain. The 10 of the oxymorphone does not seem to have the same effect that it used to when I first started taking it. I've been on these meds for approx. 5 years steady. Does the body just start to become immune to some meds? ## Arymo ER contains a time released form of Morphine, which is an opiate analgesic. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness,...

My doctor prescribed it today for back and shoulder injury. Walmart and CVS doesn't have it and Walgreens won't give me the info over the phone. ## Hi, Sonja! What is your general location? It's very hard for someone to suggest a pharmacy that may have them in stock, without any idea where you are. Can you please post back with more details, such as the nearest large city? Thanks! ## Sonja---hope this info will help you now or in the future. I have done this twice with some success. Email the manufacture by going to their website endo.com/contact and filling out the information. I provided the prescription info such as Opana ER 40mg 60 tabs and Opana ER 20 mg 120 tabs etc, then I gave my city and zip code along with my name and phone number and asked them to locate stock for...

My Dr prescribed opana er 10 mg for pain. I was prescribed morphine sulfate er 60 mg and at one time was prescribed as much as 130 mg before i had surgery(gastric bypass which took a lot of pressure off of my back) and allowed me to lower my dosage. But since I've changed to Opana Er its just not enough for the pain. I don't sleep and if I do doze of I wake up from the pain. I'm desperate for help and think I need to be put back on morphine sulfate. My Gastric Dr instructed me to chew, crush or break my medications but with extended release you can't do that. Many pain management is almost greeting ready to send me to another state where they can treat me more efficiently. I can't afford to be going back and fourth to another state. I want to get my gastric Dr to app...

I was on 100 mg of Kadian twice a day for 7 years and got switched to 20 mg of Opana three times of day. Also, I was on 15 mg of Morphine 4 times a day and was switched to 4 mg of dialudid 4 times a day. I want to know if these dosages are equal to my old medicine dosages. ## I don't believe these are equivalent dosages, more over because Morphine is the active ingredient in Kadian. In which case you had taken 100mg twice a day (200mg/day) and later dropped down to 15mg four times a day (60mg/day). That's a pretty significant difference in and of itself, not taking into consideration the Opana or Dilaudid fixtures. As far as Opana (Oxymorphone) and Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) goes, these are two different drugs with different levels of potency/pain relief, so cross-comparing the tw...

I am prescribed 6 Opana 10 mg immediate release, and I have come a long way considering they ran me as a guinea pig and had me on it all - from Fentanyl patch 100 (yes that's right 100 mcg), and the breakthrough med was dilaudid 4 mg and the 8 mg, as well as having been on OxyContin (the op kind / not the old ones). That was in my experimental days. I was on the 60's of those which didn't help even with the breakthrough pain. I lost a lot of good friends from the old ones. They overdosed and died. The new version never touched my pain either. I was on 15, to 20, to 30 mg. Also Lortab and Percocet (the 10's). None helped my pain. All you think is about is the pain and just wanting a normal life. And not having to depend on damn pills ever again. To be able to have babies ...

I am having trouble with the switch, not sleeping, eating, feel anxious, like I have taken 8000mg caffeine. It does help the pain but the side effects are so unpleasant. I have 5 degenerated discs from breaking my back 40 yrs, ago. ## You're going from taking Methadone to trying something different? If so, then that's probably why right there. the old oxys were better when on the new ones it got worse why change it?on opana er 30's was onoxy 60s opana DOES NOTHING WHY? ## what does a roxi 224 look like ## Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is very effective for some people, but like any medication, it doesn't work for everyone. Have you tried talking to your doctor to see what else you can try? If the new Oxycontin formulation isn't working for you, perhaps you should try MS Contin? It is a form of time released Morphine. The 30mg Oxycodone pill with the marking 224 on it should be round and blue, with the 224 on one side. It is a generic for Roxicodone, which is a regular release formulation. My medicine has been changed from oxycodone 30 mg with opana 60mg to the oxy 30 with morpine sul 30 mg er** I was wondering will it work as well? ## Oxymorphone / Opana is quite a bit stronger than morphine, so unless your taking alot more morphine pills I can't see how it can. But maybe you will have a good reaction to it. Good luck! ## I agree with Denzidrine, in that every medication can effect each person differently; so the only way to find out is to actually try it and see how it works for you in comparison to what you're used to taking. Keep in mind though that the inactive ingredients in each tablet also play a significant role in how you react to the medication. I take 60 mgs of oxydone 2x day..dr recently added 10 mg opana er...omg...he sd its stronger...it will help you. ..bull sh#@! Its like candy only no happy ending....it doesn't even take away withdrawals! What should i do!???? ## No, 10mgs of Opana is only equivalent to 20mgs of Oxycodone, so it is not stronger in this dosage. You'd need 30mgs of it to be equivalent to each 60mgs of Oxycodone that you were taking. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you informed your doctor? You may need the dosage adjusted.

When I grt my script filled (60 opana 30 mg) I am told they only have 20 and if I decide to take them I will not be able to get the rest when the order comes in. ## I have been told the same thing by 2 different pharmacies, It is a federal law that the pharmacie only fill a narcotic prescription once, even if it means being short on your script. The pharmacie will contact your dr and let them know that you are short and your dr will write another script. I know you can find pharmacies that will bend the rules and fill it twice to get you the correct amount. Or you can just go to a different pharmacie that has all 60. my dr prescibed oxymorphone er 60 mg. and oxymorphone ir 5 mg. I was able to purchase the ir tablets in generic (but they cost about 50.00 more than the oxycodone ir 20 mg. that I was taking before he switched my meds) I was not able to get the oxymorphone er 60 mg. in generic form. The new CDC guidelines are in effect, causing my pain specialist to dramatically reduce my Opana ER and prn oxymorphone from 10mgs/ER BID to 5mgs/bid and keep the IM oxymprohone at 60/10mg tabs for 60 days. My understandibg is that it can be increased to a more therapeutic level after empilirical documentation that the 60/mg morphine/day is not providing the needed relief. I need an increase now! Not a reduction!!! How long must a person sustain personal viability before getting g a therapeutic dosage!? ## Go to change.org and sign the petition to make chronic pain sufferers exempt from CDC restrictions on schedule 2 drugs. There are a few other similar petitions as well. One is for a "pain card" to allow ease in getting meds needed.

As most of you here, I've been taking MS Contin 60 mg and Oxycodone IR for break through among other meds of course. I have had RSD/CRPS for 26 years and Lupus for about 5 years. I live in PA now and never really considered the ramifications of moving to a state with such pain med issues. Due to job loss I've had to reschedule my meds taking fewer of them and being in worse pain. I don't want to find just a prescribing doctor. I want to continue my treatment. Any advice? ## I moved back to Panama City Beach, FL, in 2012 after moving away in 2003. In TN, where we moved from, I was on Hydrocodone 10/325 and Opana, so 2 opiates.
