I've only been out of pills for a day, and I'm having withdrawals (was trying to tough it out a little longer, big mistake). Until my Rx comes through, any suggestions? Would this be ok to take? 1 year later would be 2/14 ## Hi Debbie, There's actually an article in the LA Times Newspaper (which you can also find online) stating that researchers from the California Poison Control System, UC San Francisco and UC Irvine did a study investigating a variety of old drugs (Hydrocodone being one of them); and concluded that many of them are still ok to take even up to 28-40 years after the listed expiration date! That said, I don't think you have anything to worry about with your medication only being 1 year past the expiration. As long as it was stored properly and not left out in high temperatures, most of the potency should still be intact. I hope this helps!

"Here" is the link to a picture of mine (left hand side) and the same one I found online next to it. The one I have is on the left. The one on the right is a picture I got off of the web. Every single picture I could find online looked the same shade of yellow and had the same font as the one in the left. So even with the difference in milligrams I'm going to have to assume that the generic norco you have may be more potent from what I've read online. While everyone's experience may be different, I have also seen comments from patients who've tried both and feel that "10mgs" of hydrocodone far exceeds the potency of "60mgs" of codeine. Though that may not be as accurate for someone else with a different tolerance, it does go to show that hydrocodone is superior and probably shouldn't ever be substituted for codeine in that sense. I have a pill and I can't find out what it is online. I'm pretty sure it's hydrocodone 10mg. It's shaped like a football, has M-625 on it and nothing on the back. Is an M357 pill penicillin or back pain medicine? I got a liquid form of 7.5/325 of vicodin. I usually take a pill with that same amount. Is it the exact same dosage in liquid form? ## Each 5 mil (teaspoon) has Hydrocodone 7.5 mg & Acetaminophen 325 mg. Each tablet has the same thing. ## @cheryl, I don't know if the dosing instructions are any different on yours, but information I'm finding online states that each 7.5/325mg dose amounts to "15 mL" (or 1 tablespoonful) - not "5 mL" as BL mentioned.
