Anyone find that they are nothing compared to the old cdn 80s? ## To my understanding, Oxycodone is always going to be Oxycodone. There might be a small difference in binders and fillers that affect its overall bio-availability, but not much else. Here in the US, the FDA also permits generic formulas to vary by as much as 20% from the active ingredients in brand formulas. Not sure if this is a concern where you are, but in either case I'd imagine 'most' legitimate patients would only notice a subtle difference in potency between other brands.

Has anybody tried Opana vs OC 80? Any feedback would be helpful. ## What dosage of the Opana? The Oxymorphone in it is actually twice as strong as the Oxycodone, so if you were taking 40mgs of it, then the equivalent dose of Oxycodone would be 80mgs. Both can be effective at controlling pain, it just requires a dosage adjustment. You should also know that there are no more Oxycontin OCs. Purdue has changed the formulation and they are now Oxycontin OP. Are there any questions or comments? Does anyone else have advice to add? ## i have and they work fair for pain but made me very tired. ## DO NOT GET THE NEW OPANA 40MG ER, THEY ARE JUCK A LORTAB 10/325 WORK BETTER BEFORE A OPANA WOULD BLOW OXYCONTIN THE NEW ONE (OP)AWAY BUT NOT NOW,MY DR PUT ME BACK ON THE NEW OPANA DO NOT WORK IN 2 WEEK...

is there a way to take out the filler ## No, the new Oxycontin OP has been specifically designed to prevent people from doing just that. They are trying to curtail abuse of the medication. It is, however, still supposed to work the same and can cause the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Do you have any other questions? ## the new reformulated drug oxycontin op does not have the same effects and pain relief that the oxycontin oc brand has.what should i do?I am on oxycontin 80 oc mg. ## Its not reformulated . And its the same molecular structure as the o.c. you were probably abusing the o.c. which made them into instant release. ## Verwon, the questioner specified OC, NOT OP. The answer is that if you want a SOLUTION which will be instantly available to t...

I have used lots of op 40, 60, and 80s and we all know they are chewy and are hard to abuse. Well it's been awhile since I had a real oc 80 and I can't remember what they taste like. Are the chewable? The ones I cam across say oc on one side and 80 on the other. They are a greenish color. Are they real or fake? ## That is the correct color and marking of the genuine Oxycontin 80mg tablet. Hospitals and pharmacies are allowed to continue to dispense them, until their supply is exhausted, at which time they will also be forced to switch to the new formulation. On top of that, with all the diversion that occurred due to theft, I am sure they will still be found on the streets for a long time to come. Are there any other comments or questions?

How can I tell if oc 80 is real? ## Hi Misti, If you could provide the imprint(s) on the tablet, along with a physical description of the pill (color, shape, etc), then I can help you determine if it's real or not. I have seen a round green 80mg Oxycodone tablet with the imprint: M 596; and another round green one with the imprint: ABG 80; and one other that is oval and green with an imprint of: 33 93. While I'm sure there are a few others out there besides these three that are 80mg doses, once you post back with more details, we can narrow down the search. I hope this helps!

i dont know where they came from but for almost 2 years of being gone im able to once again get oc 80s where could they be coming from????? ## Hello, Mikeeyy! How are you? There are 2 possibilities, since they are no longer being manufactured. Someone might have found an old, leftover supply somewhere, or they are fake. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I hope everyone will reply to my post. I 'am like thousand of good people who live in pain every minute of the day. And now since Purdue the makers of Oxycontin has reformulated the OC to OP we all suffer. I like all has called Purdue with my concerns not only a complaint on how this new Oxycontin does not work and its side effects. What I will do if I have enough people to respond is to set up a FACEBOOK page were people can add his or her story about how the OP do not work, what side affects he or she is having. Also where everyone can boycott any medication that Purdue sells. When at the Pharmacy ask the Pharmacist to give you another brand of medication not one made by Purdue. Trust me there are many other drug companies who make the same day to day medication we take. From bloo...

They are generic oxy's ## Hi Biff, Are these pills manufactured in Canada by chance? I can't seem to find any specific details on them here in the US, so I can only assume that that may be the case. I know Purdue Pharma manufactures round green pills imprinted with OC on one side & 80 on the other side; which are 80mg Oxycontin tablets. But this is the closest match I can find to your description. If you have any more details to share that would be great. Thanks! ## those are apo ocd 80mg bro. those are pretty much the same as the old oxys. its the generics man there whip. i hope i see htem soon to your lucky

Small green and round pill with OC 80 on it, what is it? ## Based on the description provided, I found your pill to be Oxycontin (80 mg). Oxycontin (Oxycodone) comes in various forms and is used to treat moderate to severe levels of pain. Hope this helps! ## I use to receive the green 80 OC round tab and cannot get those anymore. The other I have now make me throw up. Do you know where I can find the old tabs again?

Walgren's gave me the bad OP/80's last month and told me that's all that would be available from now on. My doctor let me try hydromorphone, oxymorphone, and MsContin. All with either negative side effects or ineffectiveness. I gave up on all replacements and asked doctor to put me back on Oxycontin 80. When I went to Walgrens, they asked if I wanted generic. I told them that I heard there is no generic. They said they have them again. The manufacturer is ETHEX, (which based on other posts here is owned by Purdue). I would suggest anyone stuck with new OP/80 oxycontin should ask Pharm. if they have generic Oxycodone ER by Ethex. You might be pleasantly surprised!!! ## If they have the OC on them, there are not made by Ethex, they are made by Purdue and are not the generic. S...

green oval 80 on one side ex on other ## The pills with the marking of EX 80 were actually a time released formulation of Oxycodone from Mexico and they have been discontinued and were illegal to have in the U.S. In the U.S. the only product that is now available is the new Oxycontin OP, the reformulation from Purdue. Are there any questions or comments? ## where can i get oc 80s in minnesota ## I live in Southeast Georgia and recently in last 2 years it has gotten harder and harder to find a Dr. in Georgia that prescribes oxycodone 30s or 15s and Dilaudid 4s & 8s. Does anybody know of a Dr. in Georgia that will prescribe me either oxycodone or Dilaudid at current date. I am extremely grateful for any help and advice. Thanks

we have been seeing the original oc 80's around here and was wondering if they are coming back already or if they oc's are replaced with the op's???? ## No, they aren't coming back, however there are many still on the street, due to all the theft and diversion that occurred, plus any pharmacies and hospitals can still provide or sell them, until they run out of stock. Ethex is also a licensed distributor for Purdue and from what I have read in various posts, they have still had a stock of the original Oxycontin product. On the current supply runs out, everyone will be forced to switch to the new product. Are there any other questions or comments? ## where do you live? ## this guy has no clue what he is talkin about. the real ones are coming back.. my father was gettin th...

All I know it not the same.it does not control my pain or last as long(12hrs).It makes me have flu like symptoms, headaches upset stomach so I have to take phenagen, which makes me sleepy, but the new pill makes me sleepy even on a lower dose, where as the oc I could take my regular dosage and not get sleepy so I can function and have a better life.i s...

Purdue Pharma (80mg) op vs. oc...are oc coming back as generic and ops going to be name brand? ## or are we just stuck with these plastic pills and roxiecodone??? or are we getting back original formula oc 80"s?? ## No, at this time, Purdue Pharma has no intention of going back to the original formulation and is only manufacturing the new product with the OP marking, that has been specially formulated to help prevent abuse. Are you having problems with the new product? ## I have not had the relief from the OP as I did with the OC. I called Purdue and complained. If you are still in pain, then call Purdue, Please!! asap and explain to them the problems. They don't need to know your personal info, just that the OPs do not work as well or what ever problems you are having. If every...

I am curious if the production of oxycontin 80's are coming back onto the market or if the remaining supply is suddenly being distributed again just to get rid of them? ## No, at this time, they aren't being manufactured and returned to the market, however, places that still had some in stock are still allowed to dispense them, until their supply runs out. When still sealed in the original factory bottles, most medications have a 3 year shelf life, so I'm sure they will still be showing up for awhile, especially in areas where pharmacies had a large stock, but don't fill a lot of prescriptions for it. Are there any other questions or comments?

i have a green round pill with AGB on one side and 80 on the other side. What is this and who makes it? ## Do you still have that green 80 ABG? ## THIS IS NOT MORHPINE! This is Oxycodone CR 80mgs, a generic for the narcotic Oxycontin. ## This little green pill is called oxycontin, the reason it says AGB and nor OC is because it is a generic form. But 100 % its an oxy 80 mg

I recently got 80mg OC OxyContin that are green but they do not help me at all, it's almost as if they were fake. Does anyone know about them? Are the OC coming back? I need to know right away! Thanks so much! ## No, at this time Purdue has no intention of bringing the original formulation back to market. If that's what you have, they are either fake or extremely old and have lost efficacy, as medications tend to do over time. The FDA classifies Oxycontin as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Switch to 40mg of opana they are just like the original 80mg oxycontin
