I had broken two vertebrae and dislocated my shoulder in a car accident on the GSP. Was seeing someone way up in N. Jersey. Good doc (but crowded office) but it's too far for me to drive. Anyone know of any other doctors in NJ that would prescribe 15mg or 30mg oxycodone? I was taking 90 15's per/mo. Tried living with out the pain killers but it's almost impossible. Any help would be appreciated! ## Hello, Keith! How are you doing? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. Due to the new regulations that were put in place by the DEA last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis. A general practice physician won't be able to prescribe it for you. The FDA lists this medication as a narcotic ana...

Hi, I'm new to this and am having the same problem. I live in SWFL in port Charlotte. I have severe chronic lower back pain and neck pain. Ive been seeing the same pain mgt Dr for 2 yrs. I got my prescription last week, and drove 200 miles, and can't fill the roxycodone 30's 150. Ive gone to Walgreens for about a year, with no problems. I went there last wk amd pharmacist told me we don't have them, and even if we did, I'm not comfortable filling the script. Ive tried all the mom amd pop pharmacies, and was told they're not taking new patients. So what am I supposed to do? Like a dummy, I also had a script for flexeril amd lyrica. I sent out the lyrica by mail to be filled. I let Walgreens fill the fexeril. She asked me are you sure you want to separate these? I ...

Hello. I am a NYC resident and I need help finding a Doctor who will prescribe me 30mg Oxy. I am a legitimate patient. I have MRI but no one will help me. I am willing to pay cash per visit and for help finding a doctor. Im in a great deal of pain. ## Hello Paul! How are you? Well, you could be creating a problem for yourself, if your asking doctors to prescribe a specific medication, in a specific dosage. Most will view that as being drug seeking behavior. Do you have other medical records showing that it was prescribed and worked for you in the past? If so, they should really speak for themselves, when you see a new doctor. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipa...

Walmart has been getting the green 10/325 oxycodone is there any difference from the oblong white 10/325? I have been getting those at Walmart and now they have changed it. ## Hello, Patti! How are you? When a medication is available as a generic, it is usually manufactured by several different companies, the FDA has done this to try to create market competition to help keep prices down. As a result, which one your pharmacy carries may change, at any given time, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, when they needed to restock their supply. Without knowing the markings on it, I can only theorize, but my best guess is that they have just been manufactured by a different company. However, if you post back with the markings, I will be happy to double check for you to be sure. T...

I see a new doctor and would like to know if anyone knows how many oxycodone they are allowed to give before it's red flagged? ## Well, this is a little late, but thought i'd answer anyway in case anyone else looks it up....and I don't know if it varies by state, but in PA, I saw the 'report' the pharmacist has to submit(i THINK it was only for controlled substances), and it read like a damn government spy report, it was so pathetic... I guess the pharmacist gave it to me by accident. Anyway, one of the check boxes was 'More than 180 units?' So i guess it's 180 pills, then they had to special report it(to whom, i don't know.). I wish i had kept that paper, as I'm sure very few people have ever seen one,but this was over a year ago(from march 2017)...

Can a mspain management Doctor in mississippi prescribe more than one hundred oxycodone along with nintey morphine one hundred mg. ## Hello, Troy! How are you? Actually, under the new DEA directives, they are requested to limit patients to no more than the equivalent of 120mgs of Morphine a day, some states have lowered that even further to no more than the equivalent of 100mgs of Morphine a day. The only exceptions are supposed to be for those that have a potentially fatal illness, such as stage 4 cancer. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, you're actually among the rare people that are still being prescribed such h...

My Dr. was prescribing me MS Contin 30mg. q 8hrs & Dilaudid 4mg q 4-6hrs. + Celebrex 200mg 1 daily. Now he suddenly took me off the MS Contin, I have been in extreme pain! I asked him to prescribe Opana 40 mg or Oxycodone 30 mg., he said NO that Opana and Oxycodone are the same drug. How true is this? And which pill is the strongest? ## Hi I was getting 90 30s oxycodaines. But 3 days ago.I moved from.New York's to.upstate and I can't find doctor here ## Hello, Mikky! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. What type of doctor has been prescribing them? If you've been being treated by just a regular GP, that may be the problem. There were new regulations put in place that restrict their prescribing practices and those who need such medica...

I am a vet injured I have been going to the same pain clinic since 2007 And they lowerd my pain meds so low they dont work anymore Anyone know of a compashinat pain doc nw ga area Dont trust va Need help ## Hello, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but down below are a couple links that may be of service to you in your search for pain management doctors within your general area. Also, when seeing a new doctor just make sure to transfer or take a copy of all your medical records with you. Then, the best approach in my opinion, is to discuss up front and honestly what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. Let them know about the experience you had with your previous Doctor as well. Most doctors will take it under consideration a...

M 595 ## This tablet contains 40mgs of Oxycodone CR, a generic for Oxycontin. This is a narcotic analgesic. Some of the most common side effects include: drowsiness, nausea, dry mouth and constipation. ## Okay,I remember the football shaped generic oxycontin and they did not work near as well as the name brand. My doctor agrees with that and told me 2 years ago that generic oc will be coming off the shelves because of their ineffectivness. Now, we have a new generic, the M 595, where do these line up in comparison to the name brand and the discontinued football shaped ones? also ABG or AGB, I forget, has a generic OC on the market, ,,they work very well. Do the M 595's work as well,,please advise if you or anyone can. thank you ## I have not used them, nor heard from anyone who has,...

I've been taking Oxycodone 30mg for quite some time for 2 medical conditions. This month Feb 2016, I went to refill prescription and only half of the script was available. This is in WI. My pharmacy said they have no idea when they will be available. These are the small blue ones. ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? From what I'm finding listed by the ASHP, which is a pharmacists information association, there has been a shortage, but it has been resolved. However, it may still take a month or so, before pharmacies receive a new supply. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks for...

is there a new 30mg oxycodone out i went to the pharmacy they told me the m box is on back order they got a new brand but cost double ## IM SORRY IF IT MAKES A DEF THEY ARE 30MG IR I GET THANK U CAN USE HELP ME AND LET ME NO IF USE HEARD ABOUT A NEW 30MG IR COMING OUT ## Hello, Sphilly! How are you? There is no instant release 30mg Oxycodone, the ones manufactured by Mallinckrodt with the M on them are regular release tablets, they work within about 15 to 20 minutes of taking them. That said, there have always been several of this dosage available from different manufacturers. That is very common with generics, so yes, they most likely do have one from a different manufacturer. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and m...

I have been on 80mg. Of oxycodone a day for 6 good mo. Now for my disease. Today I go to a new pain clinic as I moved to a new state. I just came from there to find out this state will not give 30mg.pills. They told me to take one a day for a week then return. Am I going to go through hard withdraws? This is unreal now it is back to suffering pain. Then after a week won't I go through more withdraws? Please help need some fast help! Thanks ## I'm very sorry about the problem you're having. This has been happening to people all over. Yes, you will most likely go through withdrawals both that first week and the next. As listed by the FDA, this is a narcotic, so its withdrawal symptoms may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, fever, chills, rebound pain and diarrhea. H...

What are these (4812 on one side v on the other)? They are very dark green. I've only seen blue and light green 15s. Are these new perhaps and are they real? ## Hi lia, You didn't mention how you got these pills in your possession, but if you're receiving your meds through a doctor via his/her prescription and filling it at a licensed pharmacy, then there shouldn't be any reason for you to question whether they're real, would there? However, if that's not the case then I wouldn't recommend trusting these pills at all without a prior lab analysis since the legitimate version ("V" on one side and "48|12" on the other) is reported to be light blue in color. Additionally, counterfeit pain medication is becoming very prevalent now a days, so if the...

Can a pharmacist change the date of your next prescription of OPANA because you had some left over from the prior months and didn't pick the new Opana prescription up for 7 days after it was filled. The pharmacist adjusted the next OPana prescription 7 days longer the next time I get the Opana filled ## They sure can. Make sure you always get your rx on time ## Thank you very much for the information. It is good to know. I never thought that would be the case. Steve ## Pharmacists are now responsible for helping to curb opiate issues, such as over prescribing, improper prescribing, and etc. So yes, if you tell them that you have some left, they are expected to adjust accordingly, to avoid anyone being able to stock up on an excess. I'm not saying this is what you were trying to ...

I have been taking oxycodone 10-325 for 8 years with no problem and my pain was managed well. But I had to change Pain Management docs and the new doc has Added (not replaced) Opana 7.5 ER to my monthly script. Thoughts on this? ## It is a normal practice to try to help someone get better pain control by adding a time released medication, such as the Opana ER, while using the regular released one for breakthrough pain. Have you tried taking it, yet? The FDA warns that narcotic analgesics carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. ## It is correct that two types of painkillers by working together yet working differently Does help with the pain better. I take 2x a day MS Contin ER 100mg, one in morning...

cronick pain in upper area ribs shoulders and broken legs i have script for perk 30 mill now i live sf bay area need a refill having trouble finding a doctor dont know the area ## The best advice I can give you is to look for a pain management specialist. Under the new laws, general practitioners will no longer be able to prescribe these types of medications long-term for people that suffer from chronic pain. In order to get them on a regular basis, they must be prescribed by someone that's specially trained in handling pain. Learn more pain management details here. And if you have insurance, you might want to call them up, or check their website and see what doctors they list in your area. That should help save you some time on hunting for one.
