I tried everything, I mean everything and in the pulmonologists office they gave me xopenex in nebulizer. It saved my life. Fla medicaid wont pay for it even after docs asked 3 times. ANY help for me? ## I am not sure what the qualifications for the programs are, some may not help if you have insurance, but it doesn't hurt to call them and check. I found two listed that may help with Xopenex: The Partnership for Prescription Assistance 888-477-2669 and RX Outreach 800-769-3880. Can you please post back and let me know if either one of these can help you? If not, I'll see what else I can find for you. ## Neither one can help me.

12 Fl.Oz 15 ML lot 6L04 Please if you know of how I can get this ordered ASAP and I Thank you for any information. It comes in a Dark brown bottle with a black screw on lid. My last bottle I got was in 1998. I can hardly read the bottle. Distributed by Menley & James Laboratories Inc.,Horsham. PA. 19044-3697 ## Nefrin contains the active ingredient Phenylephrine, this is used as a deongestant. That said, this site does not sell nor manufacture any medications. Since it has been so many years, it does not seem that anything under this name is still available. There are still other solutions on the market, however, these nebulizer mediations usually require a doctor's prescription and you would pick them up at a pharmacy. Do you have a doctor and are they prescribing this? ## I us...

Also, [according to the FDA link below] AsthmaNefrin was apparently recalled sometime in or around 2013 due to patients reporting chest pain, spikes in blood pressure & heart rate, including a number of other side effects. Having said that, I'm not too certa...

I purchased an OMRON Vibrating Mesh Nebulizer online in August. About the same size as the crap piece of garbage that came with the Astmanefrin starter kit. Works great and to be honest I have gone a few days without soaking it in distilled water and vinegar. I just run some distilled water thru it after each use. After 6 months it still works great! It has a 2 year warranty. ## Many belated thanks for the info Pat. My atomizer is still working but from other reports I'm sure it won't last, so your info is very helpful. ## Hello Pat, Excellent information! How often did you have to wash the original piece that came with the Astmanefrin start kit? Also what is the price comparison for getting the Omron nebulizer compared to getting the Astmanefrin kit replacement?

Is it safe to use nebulized amikacin after the expiration date? My pharmacy sent me the amikacin a week before I needed it and now when I need to use it, it says it's expired. The pharmacy is closed for the weekend and I have no one to ask. My daughter has E.Coli colonized in her lungs and this is more for preventative use. ## The issue with expired liquid medications is that they may turn rancid, and it could become risky to use them. Thus, it is best not to use them once expired, unless your doctor specifically says it is okay to do so. How old is your daughter, and what has her doctor prescribed? Inhaled Amikacin can cause some serious issues, such as allergic lung reactions, coughing up blood, and worsening of existing lung conditions, so it shouldn't be used without a docto...

After using albuterol in a nebulizer for about six applications, my body - especially my hands - were shaking uncontrollably. I refused further doses, beginning 36 hours ago. The shaking is better, but still severe. Question: how long can I expect this drug to remain in my system? ## Hello, Grammy! How are you feeling? That can be a normal side effect of this medication, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects, may possibly include dry mouth, dizziness, headache and insomnia. You weren't on it for very long, so it should only take a few days for things to settle back down. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am using DuoNeb (not just Abuterol) in my nebulizer. At first, I noticed only about 10 very tiny dots that would NOT come out. As time went on, those 10 tiny dots turned into over 100 (on EACH lens), which also would NOT come out. My Optometrist tried everything to get them out, even Acetone, but nothing worked. I ended up having to buy a new set of lenses and now I'm TERRIFIED to wear my glasses while using my nebulizer (which I take FOUR times a day). I don't have insurance, so I can't just have my insurance cover a new pair of lenses again. Has anyone else had this experience or know of any experiences like this? ## Is there no one out there who knows if DuoNeb (Nebulizer medication) can damage eyeglass lens's? Please help me find this out. If it happens again, I WO...

I was given a prescription for brovana and budesonide to use in my nebulizer. I used my albuterol 6 hours ago in the nebulizer. Is it safe to use brovana and budesonide? Is it ok to use now? ## Is there anybody that uses Brovana and Budesonide in nebulizer twice a day? Is there any side effects I need to know about? Thanks in advance ## The FDA lists the typical side effects of these medications as possibly including dry mouth, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and elevated heart rate. Ref: Brovana Information Budesonide Information As to when to use it, usually the new medication would just replace your old one for the next dose on your regular schedule, unless your doctor, or pharmacist has instructed you otherwise. Are you on any other medications?

With my insurance this drug will cost me $150. I am currently on 16 pharmacy meds to include 2 nebulizer meds, an inhaler, oxygen at 3.5 constantly, morphine pain pump (broke my back) have never smoked although both parents, two husbands and I worked for the Army for 34 years around smokers. I am 73 and retired and just do not have income to cover $150 every month. Any suggestions what to do? My doctor tells me there is nothing else to take. ## Do you have any type of insurance? Saw my GP on Friday with a tight chest and breathing discomfort. I have history of pulmonary embolsm. Have flu symptoms as well. Was nebulized with oxygen, prescribed betamox and mybulen and cough syrup to clear chest. I have horrific headaches and nausea. Could it be because of overdosing on betamox?? Instructions says 3 tabs 3x day (500mg). ## It is very hard to actually overdose on an antibiotic, in most cases, according to the U.S. FDA, you will just experience more intense side effects, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache and diarrhea. So yes, the headaches and nausea could be due to the antibiotic. How long will you be taking it?

albuterol tablets price went from 8 dollars to 295 dollars!!! what could i take instead, inhalers also cost too much. I have a nebulizer machine but the tablets work better for me. ## Hello, Mzmeanez! How are you? Unfortunately, many pharmacies don't explain how the medication discounts they offer work. Each medication that they can offer for such low prices, such as $4, $8 or $10 are under a contractual agreement with the manufacturer…. an agreement that the manufacturer has the option of ending, once it runs out. Many of them will just renew, but some elect not to and you end up with drastic price changes like this. There have been several other medications that also changed recently and the prices got really ridiculous. Learn more Albuterol details here. However, the only s...

Recently, I had a scheduled appointment with my primary physician. I had a chest cold, which is rare for me. The doctor gave me an Albuterol nebulizer treatment, a Medrol 6-day pack, and an inhaler as treatment for the chest cold, which I didn't need. I consider this too many medications for just a chest cold, and that wasn't the reason I was seeing her. But I took the first two, but did not use the inhaler. During the next few weeks, I had two episodes where my throat seized up, once when a bit of water went down the wrong way, and then when I swallowed salad dressing with a hot pepper flake in it. My throat went into strong spasms with sharp, quick intakes of air - and I could not control it. It stopped on its own, eventually, about the time I decided I would dial 911 and gasp...

I was prescribed Tedral as a child. Hated it because I always went to sleep. Really would love to take it now. Inhalers don't work. S pens too much time on nebulizer treatment after treatment. Preventive medication the same. I used to try one after the other and for some reason when I take these preventive meds I gain weight. I had asthma from as age 3 to 12. I remember oxygen tents. Now you take a treatment and it may be hours before I have relief. That means the preventive meds don't work. I am 62 now and I am tired. I don't have COPD, just asthma, and it's back as violently now as when I was a child. Difference is nebulizers take a long time to work and keep me up. Ans symb, adva, etc don't work. How do we get the drug administration allow Tedral back on market? T...

What are opiate inhalers like? What are they given for? ## Hi Olivia, How are you? Upon researching "opiate inhalers" I'm really not finding any specific details outside of nebulized Narcan (Naloxone); which is actually an opioid antagonist used for treating opioid addiction/overdosing and NOT pain. Apparently it works by reversing the effects of opioids. Though regarding "patches", the only one I know of are Fentanyl patches and those are prescribed for severe/chronic pain. Just out of curiosity, where did you hear about opiate inhalers?
