Natural Anti Depressant

Hi just wondering if I can take whilst on these anti depressants ## Hello, Ashley! How are you? Unfortunately, natural supplements aren't evaluated for potential interactions with prescription medications, so I don't have this information. However, I will do some digging and see if I can find anything and post back, when I do. Have you checked with your doctor or pharmacist? They may know more on this.

I have been on Pristiq for 6 months. I have been on anti-depressants for major depression for 20 yrs. I have gained 12 pounds in 6 months. Mentally, I feel great; however, I am very depressed at times about my weight. I have never been this heavy in my life. I am not hungry, I eat very little, work out and still don't lose. ## Weight gain is not a normal side effect of Pristiq, it usually causes the opposite, actually, because it normally decreases someone's appetite. It is possible that it is just a completely natural thing, some people do gain weight, as they age, because of metabolic changes that occur, so it may not be the medication, at all. That would also explain why you aren't losing any weight. If the 12 pound gain is a problem, you should speak to your doctor. If y...

Does this plll help panic attacks and does it act fast if am having a bad panic attack like a zanx ## Mirtazapine is actually an anti-depressant as opposed to an anti-anxiety like Xanax; however it is said to work by increasing certain types of activity in the brain to maintain mental balance. That to me, certainly sounds like it could have a positive impact on someone who might be experiencing a panic attack. The funny thing is, "anxiousness" and "confusion" are both listed as side effects of Mirtazapine. So I guess there's really no guarantee that it wont backfire Lol... Is there a drug like Zoloft that you can buy over the counter? I need something to help me through a couple of days of tough times. ## Hello Johnny, In regards to actual medicine there really isn't going to be anything that is going to be over the counter that you can pick up. The reason for this is that drugs that are used for anti depressant purposes often have both an addictive nature and side effects that can cause suicidal tendencies. What I can say is that there are some "natural supplements" that claim to have anti-depression benefits. If you are just looking to get through a small window where you don't have a prescription filled this may be the best route for you to try. Here are a couple of supplements that I found that are claimed to help. - Sam-e - Tryptophan...

Is Prestiq a sulfur based drug? I have been on Prestiq for a week and noticed a difference in stabilization of mood but have had sensitive skin and a mild rash. I am taking other prescribed drugs and know that I'm allergic to sulfur based drugs. Thank you ## I have just discovered I am allergic to corn and all of their by products. Is there any medication for depression that doesn't have corn starch in it. ## The only natural anti-depressant that has no corn starch is St John's Wort (Hypericum). You need to check with your doctor if it conflicts with your medication (if you are taking any) or any other health condition before you try it. Not to be used with MAOI-type anti-depressants especially, but also not with any other anti-depressants. ## As to a prescription medication...
