I am currently prescribed MS Contin for pain and while effective I sometimes feel like some of the pills are fake. I get no relief and feel withdrawal symptoms even. I have looked at them under a magnifer but they all look the same. Is it possible that someone at my pharmacy is switching some of my pills for pacebos? If so, how do I deal with it? ## I am experiencing the same problem. Generic MS Contin ER, 60mg tablets. I have been taking these for 11 years, but for the past week and a half my pain level became extremely high. Couldn't sleep, couldn't keep still. Unbelievable pain. I decided to stop taking them and started taking some 30mg pills I had. Pain is starting to subside after 2 days. How can I have the 60mg pills examined to see if they are counterfeit? BTW, these were...

I've been prescribed to these meds for almost 3 years now. I have been taking Ms Contin for almost 7 years. In the past 4 months or so I have noticed my pain becoming significantly worse and also my Ms Contin tablets weighing less than they used to as well as tasting like salt. I take the brand name Ms Contin 100mg and 60mg from Purdue Pharma L.P. and I always have. I take brand of practically every medication I'm prescribed to, including Duragesic 100mcg and Dilaudid 8mg. I am not very happy I am back on Dilaudid again, as I was on it prior to moving around here and was taking over 2x the dose I currently am along with Actiq 1200 and 1600mcg and never found the Dilaudid to work well on my pain. The Actiq did, but only for up to an hour max. I actually asked to be taken off Acti...

Has anyone in the chicagoland area been receiving prescriptions of both 100mg and 60mg BRAND (Purdue Pharma, L.P.) MsContin and thought they were not working as well as usual? I have also noticed a very strong salty taste to them along with their weight being off and weighing much lighter that ones I have got in past prescriptions. I am also experiencing this with BRAND (Purdue Pharma, L.P) Dilaudid 8mg tablets. They don't seem to be relieving my pain nearly as well and many have had a very strong salty taste to them. Does anyone have any advice? I have been filling them at Walgreens. My doctor made me change pharmacies b/c the small, independent pharmacy I was going to before wasn't putting all my Rx's into the IL RX Monitoring Database. The ONLY medication of mine I am gettin

I have several physical back, neck, knee, foot issues that cause chronic pain. I have been on pain medications for about 20 years. Yes..I know it sounds like a long time. But I had small kids to raise and a very unsupportive husband. I am at a pain clinic. Recently I asked to be taken off of MS Contin 60mg. twice a day with 3 tablets of 4mg. dilaudid for breakthrough pain. I did take the dilaudid sparingly according to my activity level. Well..they wanted me to try long acting ELAGO in place of the morphine. I feel like the ELAGO does not last 24 hours and I feel like I need to take more 4mg. dilaudid. I also feel like I am getting a rapid heartbeat sometimes. Could you tell me what may be happening to me? I was hoping to not have to take anything other than the ELAGO ER, but it is not the...
