i am taking metorol 50 mg daily since then y have frequency ,my prostate is removed 10 years ago. ## That is not a normal or even one of the listed rare side effects of this class of medications, however, I have heard the same complaint from others that are using it. The normal Metoprolol side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. Have you spoken to your doctor about the problem? There can be other causes and it is very important to have your doctor check for them.

I want know what effects of taking azor 10/40 along with taking metorolol succ er 100 ## Hello, Joan! How are you? Generally, the effect of such medications combined is a more pronounced lowering of blood pressure. This is often done in cases of treatment resistant hypertension. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, dehydration and hypotension. Has your doctor prescribed both medications?

My wife, age 60, has had diabetes for the last 6 years. She is taking the following medications after her angiography in 2008 along with diabetes medicine for the last 3 months: Deplatt 75, Eritel ch-40, Metorol xr 50, Rozavel 10, Razo-d-20, Thyronorm 50+12.5, Gluformin g-1 forte -or Glycomet gp1 forte, Galvus 50, Voglistar 0.2 mg, Lintus 42. She is complaining of swelling in her leg and ankle, as well as joint pain. Her weight is also increasing. Are there any side effects of any of the above medications? She is also suffering from arthritis.

Had been taking Cozaar 100 mg, which had my bp under control (ranging from 115/78 to 128/82). Also started back at the gym 2 1/2 months ago. Now up to regular cardio routine totalling 150 mins/ week. No shortness of breath or other problems. I asked the doc if I could step down to Cozaar 50 mg, as the 100 mg was making me feel like my heart ached from time to time. Doc changed to 50 mg Cozaar, but added Metorolol XL 25 mg. First day, I had a bad reaction: dizziness, disoriented. 2 days later, still didn't feel right. Took my bp and it was 150/87 and continued to rise. Went to the ER. They told me I was having a panic attack. Doc ordered a dobutamine stress echo test.
