Methadone Mallinckro

I take 30mg of methadone for 2 ruptured disc's L4,L5 along with 40mgs of hydrocodone for 5years now,I have been getting the mallinckrodt but this time pharmacy gave me the asc116 round tabs and I noticed my pain breaking through sooner and having to take them early than the mallinckrodt.Was wondering if there was a difference in them I thought by law they would have the same milligrams in them. ## Hello, James! I am using orally 10 to 20 mgs. daily of your methadone pills. I have allergic problems with talc. Do your methadone pills contain any talc? If so, do you offer your pills without talc? I have been prescribed methadone for pain management for 7 years. I use methadone for breakthrough pain that is not controlled by the morphine/clonidine mixture in my Medatronics intrathecal pump. Our local pharmacist has filled my prescriptions over the years usually with your 10 mg. larger modified rectangular pills. is there any difference; longer lasting, stronger, etc. in the 54 142 and the 57 71 10mg methadone ## Both of these pills appear to be exactly the same aside from having different manufacturers. Both pills contain 10 mg of Methadone hydrochloride. Neither of these are extended release or stronger than the other. M 57 71 is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. 54 142 is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories, Inc. Do you have any other questions or comments to add? I have been on methadone maintenance several different times over the past twenty years. Previously, I always received powder methadone dissolved in Tang. On several occasions I found myself in a situation where my methadone was not available to me for a given period of time. While on methadone, the withdrawal symptoms did not even begin for approximately three days after ceasing administration. Now I am on a similar dose of liquid Methadose and I wake up in withdrawal every morning. What more do you need to know in order to be convinced that the two products are dissimilar? ## Methadose is just a brand name of Methadone made by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. No difference.

I just moved here to the suburbs of Atlanta (Woodstock) from NJ and I am having a very difficult time finding a pain management doctor. I currently take 90mg of oxycodone and 60mg of methadone for chronic neck and back pain. Two of the doctors that were on my BC/BS provider website told me that they could not treat me and made me feel like I was on a high amount of pain medications. In NJ my pain management doctor had been prescribed that amount for years and I never got the impression it was a big deal. But here in Georgia it looks like I am going to have some problems. Since the drug companies had taken propoxyphene (darvocet ) off the market & my Merck Manuel read that methadone had the same chemical structure, my Dr. Had agreed to let me try methadone in a very small amount for my severe spinal pain. There was nothing left for me or most all older people to try without mental & horrible physical side affect until I started with 1/4 of 10 mg methadone 2 X a day for the 1st yr. After 5 yrs, I am on 20 mg a day & it controls my pain w/ no side effects similar to darvocet. Is taking 4methadone 10mgs the same as a 40mg wafer? It doesn't seem to last as long or as strong. ## If they are regular release, then they should work the same. However, medications can be funny, so that might not be true of Methadone. Have you checked with your doctor? There may be something else affecting it that I am not aware of…does anyone else know more? ## Depending on the generic. They can legally have 10 to 15% less methadone in them. I have been on the 10 mgs roxane methadones, 70 mgs daily, for 6 yrs for pain management. I've tried the mallinckrodt but they didn't work as well on me, and several others I know taking methadones for pain. My pharmacy and all the local pharmacies have now quit carrying roxanes and just have the malli's and Acends. I've heard terrible things about the Acends like withdrawals and not working at all. Ive done a lot of research and learned The Roxane Methadones have a distinct taste and disolve super fast but the Malli's are harder to disolve and even though they have the same ingredients they have sand in its inactive ingredient, roxanes don't. The acends seem to have the exact same product insert as the roxane's so I can't determine if they're truely ...

Has anyone using methadone for pain control found Roxa brand less efective than mallinckro for controlling there pain. Since taking the Roxa brand my pain has come back, I did talk with the pharmacy about this and she said most likley a major flare up. Does anyone know anything about this? pecoset ## THIS IS NOT PERCOCET! Methadose is Methadone, this is 10mgs, it is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. Methadose 10 This is much stronger than Percocet and very, very addictive. ## My doctor put me on methadone 10mg. My script reads take 6 (10mg) tablets every eight hours around the clock. Take two tablets every three hours for breakthrough pain. The longer I am on this the pain is good for about 2 days then back to breaking through worse than before. Is there any other pain med that would work at least as well and at the low cost of methadone.
