I've been on methadone now for 3 years. I go 2 times a month. I just got on iss and medicaid. I need to find a clinic that takes it. Please help. ## Have you tried asking your current clinic, or a local social worker to recommend one? I can find listings for clinics in various areas, but this site doesn't have any information on what insurance they accept. Do you have a regular doctor? I been going to the methadone clinic in Birmingham for 3 years,I always pay for my dose,but this one day I ask to charge and I had to damn near get on my knees and beg to charge,Three years of paying and I ask for help this one time so you think they help me,he'll no,they don't care. ## I would pay like clock work but one day i owed 7 dollars and the medicating nurse was going to refuse medicating me. Hello Posters, I am a 60 year old man who has gone from Methadone being free to the point of having to pay $12 per day. I can no longer afford this. CAN ANYONE TELL ME ANYWHERE IN THE United States where there is a free Methadone Clinic or a clinic that is subsidized. I don't know what to do. Please try to help me. if i take a methadone in the morning then do an oxy later will i still get high on the oxy ## Doubledizzle..How many MG's of methadone are you taking? Methadone will block any other narcotic if you are taking it for addiction, if you are taking it for pain, you are likely taking a lot smaller dose, so the methadone won't block other opiates unless you take them together, and that is just a guess on my part. When I started Methadone Maintenance, it took a long time to find my blocking dose, so if you are on it for addiction, it takes time, keep working on it with your doctor at the clinic,. So I have been at the methadone clinic for quite sometime, im on 200mgs and I have always been a great patient, I have never gotten a dirty UA, I worked up to getting 27 takeouts cause I work out of town and I have always been a good patient. But then the director at my clinic got fired so everyone the nurses, counselors and doctor quite. And their was ALL NEW people working at my clinic. The are ALL BULLIES especially the doctor. My husband and I were addicted to opiates for several years. We started on Methadone maintenance about a year ago and it has worked wonderfully. We are now ready to move on with our lives. We knew from the beginning that we were not going to be on Methadone for the rest of our lives. We are ready for traveling, babies, and life without methadone. What is the difference between suboxone and methadone? ## The active ingredients are very different, though both are opiate based and are used to treat severe pain as well as addiction. ## Dear Comments Submitted, Verwon is right, they r both opiate based. Hello everyone. I'm from San Diego, CA. I've been on Methadone for 3.5 years now. I'm on 80mg daily. I was on the pill form of Methadone for most of my stay at the clinic. They were METHADONE DISKETTES 40MG, they also had DOLOPHINE 5MG and 10MG. Those worked amazing for me, they actually weren't even generic, those are Brand name Methadone. So over 6 months ago, they banned the tablets and forced every patient who were on tablets to liquid Methadone. Ever since the switch, I've been depressed and most of the time I don't even want to leave the house. I was the complete opposite on tablets. I've been going to the methadone clinic for 3 months. My dosage is 60mg daily. I'm working part-time and can't afford it anymore. I've read online about Kratom supplements. Is there a way to stop methadone and combat the withdrawals using Kratom? How would the process work? So a friend of mine started taking home 2 weeks of the pill form of Methadone witch is called Methadose it's a 40mg wafer. It directly from a clinic and he drops it in water let's it dissolve and drinks it. It lasts him all day but notices it makes him very tired. He's been on it for a little over a year now. I am on medicaid and want to know if there is a clinic or doctor that will accept medicaid for methadone maintenance. ## I really wish I could help, but I haven't been able to find any that are directly listed in that area, however, I will admit, I am not familiar with Florida, so there could be some places that I am missing. I am a male in my mid 40's. I live in the Charlotte n.c. area. I've been on methadone for the better part of 12 years and I have come to believe it is a miracle drug. I am a retired Auto Worker with multiple injuries and multiple surgeries. I do not nor have I ever used street drugs.
