I am curious to know if at all possible if you are able to find narcotics online OTC in other countries such as Tylenol #2 or Tylenol #3 or other medications? Thanks I suffer from lupus, fibromyalgia, and diabetic neuropathy. I just recently lost my health insurance and this is the reason for me to ask this. Thanks in advance ## Of course you can, but since they require a prescription here in the U.S. doing so would be considered illegal. If you are out of the country and are prescribed a medication while there, you can bring in up to 3 months of it. However, obtaining something there and importing it is considered illegal, as long as there is a U.S. equivalent available. Are there any other questions I can help with? ## I wasn't aware I would have to go out of the country to obtain a...

What medications are the most prescribed anxiolytics? Is there a list I can refer to? I am also interested in the differences in prescribing between countries. Any ideas Verwon? ## Hmmm.....I'm thinking. Usually, prescription drug sales are broken down by year, so I think you'd really have to look at one of the top 100 or top 200 lists and then just comb through for the ones used for anxiety. All of the relevant lists for 2011 are up by now, it will be a long time before any for 2012 are available, so I'd suggest starting with the 2011 top prescribed drugs lists. As to how to sort by country and find the differences there, I'm sorry, but I am not aware of a way to do that. Many countries don't keep records that are up to date and accurate, so it's very hard to br...

i found a small purple pill with 30 on one side and R P H on the other side. Is it generic MS contin??? ## I am sorry, but I can't find a listing for a tablet with this marking in any of my resources. The RPH logo is used by Ratipharm, which is a very large European generic medication manufacturer. Many of their medications are available in Canada. The only morphing listing I can find for the 30mg generic for Ms Contin has a TC 30 on it, but I am not certain if they use the same marking in other countries, or not. I will, however, keep looking. Did you find it in the U.S. or elsewhere? ## Yes this is a Morphine tablet. It is a generic brand i do believe but it is morphine. i been taking them for some time now. to comfirm it is a oval (egg) shaped purple tablet it has 30 on 1 side an...

Tylex cd, just got these factory sealed .made by janssen-cilag in mexico 500mg paracetamol 30mg codeine , so basically t3's here in the states ## Hi Mike, Just curious, does this require a prescription down in Mexico or do pharmacies there dispense standard pharmaceuticals over the counter? I realize they treat medications totally different in other countries and with ever-rising drug costs here in the US I can only imagine how many Americans travel south for more affordable treatment options. Also, I read that Janssen-Cilag is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson pharmaceuticals; who's headquarters are based at: Canoa 79, 01090 Ciudad de México, Ciudad de México - so they do appear to be a legitimate drug manufacturer. If anyone is looking to verify their medication,...

I filled a prescription for 10 mg generic oxycodone at a pharmacy in Mexico. It is a round white pill with no markings at all. It came in a sealed bottle that says "PERCO 10 mg". Below that, it says "Oxycodone 10 mg". In small print, it states that is manufactured for Generic Lab Inc. Corona CA by Purdue Pharmaceuticals. It even lists the US Patents for the drug. Is this a legit generic drug they were able to release without any markings in Mexico? I only took it once and they did nothing. Should I be afraid to take them? ## It is hard to know for sure. Mexico really does not regulate their medications like the U.S., Canada, and some other countries. Thus, there is no way to be sure what these tablets contain. The FDA warns that Oxycodone carries the risk of being habit ...

What is a small round tablet light orange color with PP imprint on both sides ## Hello, Ollie! How are you? How do you know they are from Romania? If they indeed are foreign, then finding a positive identification is going to be difficult. Few other countries regulate their medications as strictly as the U.S. Does anyone know what these are?

Victan 2mg is disappearing in the mexican market from where i get it as part of my set of medicinies and it always has helped me- now no pharmacy is carrying it- is there something wrong with the medicine or are they simply hiding it to raise prices- or are they changing laboratory owners? whats the matter? ## I'm sorry, but since it is a Mexican product and we are based in the U.S., I cannot answer those questions. Medications from other countries are not regulated as strictly as those in the U.S. and finding information on them is difficult. Have you tried asking someone at the pharmacies if they have any more information? Have you considered asking your doctor about trying a different medication in the same class? Victan contains Loflazepate, which is a Benzodiazepine and there a...

Swedish prescription for chest pain what is the English/American equivalent? Thanks. ## I am sorry, I cannot help you with that information. Medications from other countries are not as strictly regulated as those in the U.S. so information on them is very hard to find. If you could find out what the active chemical in it is, I might be able to help, but otherwise, since I have no way of knowing what is in this, I cannot help you.

I believe it may be from another country. Possibly thailand or afghanistan ## Hi, Penny! Where did you find it? I'm sorry, but so far, I haven't been able to find anything. The main problem is that the databases are for U.S. approved medications, because most other countries don't regulate their pharmaceutical items as strictly as the FDA does here and they don't usually require unique imprints like the U.S. does. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? I'll keep looking and post back when I find something. ## Actually a friend gave it to me and said it was Tramadol. Im not sure if he got it in Afghanistan or Thailand. He says it"s 200 mg. But I don't want to to try something that I'm sure what it is. I do take tramadol. Not sure what to do. ## Hello penn...

I have a red pill with 5112 on top of a V, what is it? ## IS DARVACET OF THE MARKET?? ## To update this - Yes, Darvocet has been removed from the market in the U.S. and most other countries, the withdrawal includes all medications that contained Propoxyphene or it's relatives. The reason it was removed is because it was found to cause severe cardiac dangers and there were an inordinate number of overdose deaths associated with these medications. Learn more Darvocet details here. Are there any comments or questions?

diazepam 5mg cant find the drug on google or any dictionary!!! ## This looks to be a generic Valium manufactured in India (or if not there then a country outside the USA). It is common to get generic medications from other countries (India is in fact a large manufacturing center for many foreign generics), and they tend to be regulated in a different way than the United States. Can you post back with other information, such as packaging, manufacturer name, where you found or obtained the Zecalm, active ingredients listed, as well as the effects of this? Any other details would be helpful in compiling a more comprehensive review of the drug in question. ## After a few orders of 10mg Valium from India, I believe each pill contains very little or no valium. what kind this medicine? this a capsule? ## Is this safe for pregnant women? ## I am sorry, this medication is not available for use in the U.S. and since most other countries do not regulate their medications as strictly as the FDA does here, I cannot find any information on it. I can only suggest that you ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information. ## I've read in the internet that phenylpropanolamine drugs are recalled from over the counter medicines because of their adverse health effects that increased hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding in brain) among women ages 18-49 in the three days after starting use of medication. What could be the safe implication of taking nasathera capsule since it also contains phenlypropanolamine ?

how does it effect to a liver disease or any other diagnosis. ## Ranitidine is a histamine H2 receptor agonist that helps lower the production of stomach acid. In the U.S., as well as many other countries, it is available over the counter. It can react with certain other medications and in some cases an alternative must be used or it has to be taken an hour or so away from the other medication. As to the other information you are asking, I haven't found specific details on that, but you may find more in the resource articles here: Do you have any other questions?

My child suffering from hipper activity ,so i believe that if i give him deanxit may be better and be able to concentrate more is there any problem with that? My sun is 7 years old ## Deanxit has been banned in the United States and many other countries. Medications that are used to treat ADHD don't act the same in people who don't have ADHD as they do in those who do have ADHD. It is best to have your child seen by a physician and properly diagnosed. Then the physician can determine if medication is indicated and if so which one and the dosage.

I am Senior pharmacist in Govt. Hospital at Delhi ## I am sorry, but we are based in the U.S. and finding information on other countries can be very difficult. I did do some searching, but I cannot find any updated information that lists the medications and the schedules there are assigned. The most recent thing I could find was the Essential drugs list from 2007, which does not include the schedule details. Is there are health ministry website or something similar that you could use to find the information you need?

oblong white pill with mylan on one side and 1155 on the other ## Yes, this tablet was a generic for Darvocet, which contained 650mgs of Acetaminophen and 100mgs of Propoxyphene. You can learn more Darvocet details here. However, as can be read at the above link, all medications containing Propoxyphene and its close relatives have now been removed from the market in most countries due to the high risk they caused of cardiac dangers and the very high number of overdose fatalities. Are there any questions or comments?

this is a pill that my mom broght from mexico and all it has is that line across the middle and iys small and round white and i want to know what it is ? ## If there are no marking son the tablet, it is going to difficult to positively identify. Adding to this difficulty is the fact that it is a foreign medication. Most other countries, especially Mexico, do not regulate their medications as strictly as the U.S. and Canada. Does your mother have in idea what it contains or what it was used for?

I have darvocet pills with a 5113v they are four years old I was wondering if they are safe to take ## No, I'm sorry, but Darvocet isn't considered safe to take at all, anymore. All medications containing Propoxyphene and its relatives have been removed from the market in the U.S., Canada and most other countries, because they were found to cause dangerous cardiac risks. I was given a sample (60mg) and it reads "Product of Japan. Distributed by Deerfield, Illinois". I heard we need to be careful of products coming from another country. Is it safe? Thank you. ## Generally, when you see those warnings, it is referring to products that are not approved for sale in the U.S. or their over the counter products. There are many medications on the U.S. market that are manufactured in Japan, as well as other countries, but they are approved to be sold and used here. They are held to the same strict standards of FDA approval as other products are, that are manufactured in the U.S. Dexilant contains the active ingredient Dexlansoprazole, it is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach, to treat or prevent conditions suc...
