I have a white tablet approximately the size of a dime but thicker. It is marked M 71. There is a "V" shaped groove on the tablet between the M and the 71, I believe it is Allopurinol. Can anyone identify the name of the medication matching this description (small round orange/pinkish pill with NO21 on front & a scoring mark on back to easily break it in half)? Pharmacist filled with entirely different description of pill. Does anyone know what kind of drug this is? large round white pill with 436 on one side and beveled edges on the other also a slot to be able to break in two, not coated ## I was only able to locate a pill with similar markings to yours. 436 with raised hexagon, Manufacturered by Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories. If this is your pill it's 300mg of Allopurinol, which is used to treat hyperuricemia (excess uric acid in blood plasma) and its complications, including chronic gout. 4~ 3/8" orange pills were packed in a bottle of Atorvastatin pills which were small white ovals. One side had no markings and the other had 2084 over a V & they are scored for easily cutting. Just wonder how dangerous these may have been if my husband just happened to shake one out of the bottle. This was the first for this prescription so he could have easily just shook an orange instead of white pill out and not have known any different.
