Is the M 30 blue pill an extended release or regular release of Oxycodone? My doctor prescribed it but I need to make sure. ## That is a regular release formulation. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. The only extended release available, at this time, is the name brand Oxycontin from Purdue. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have received M30s, oxycodone 30mg immediate release, otherwise known as Roxicodone 30mgs. These were dispensed by an FDA licensed pharmacy. But there is no effect whatsoever and I am quite confused. How could a licensed pharmacy legally possess and distribute a tablet that is a fake imitation not made by Mallinckrodt? I know the FDA is corrupt but Jesus this has gotten quite bad. I guess that it could be a recall, but these are definitely scored and identified as Mallinckrodt so what is going on here? ## What are you saying? I take the medication and I have no problem with it. Now i am wondering. Is it sugar pills?? If so that is a legal issue, and I would jump on it. This has totally gotten uncontrolled. Pain patients get stopped suddenly off their meds they have been on for years. ...

My Roxicet 30 mg has M30 on it and is blue or green but my neighbors is blue or green w/o M30 on it. What is the difference and how can I tell if they are fake? My neighbor is 73 and she went to the pain clinic and tested neg for this pain med and she was released from the clinuc after taking this med for over 4 years and suffered withdrawals for 2 days as well as from oxycontin and xanax, until i happened to check on her and finally got it out of her she had been out of pain meds for 2 days and she called an ambulance because she did not know they were withdrawals and thought she was having a heart attack. I cancel the ambulance but EMT still came out and checked her vitals and she opted not to go to the ER. I gave her some of my meds which were the same, even though I know I'm not...

are the white m30 with the no#114 on the side of tablet, are they saleable like the blue ones with the m on back?. ## Hi Kieth, From what I could gather, the blue M30's and white 114's both contain 30mgs of Oxycodone. The most notable difference is that M30 is made by Mallinckrodt and 114 is made by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. Additionally, M30 tablets have a different set of inactive ingredients (otherwise known as binders/fillers). They contain: FD&C Blue No. 2, stearic acid, lactose monohydrate, and microcrystalline cellulose. The white pills with 114 also contain the following fillers: stearic acid, corn starch, silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, and lactose monohydrate. What is it about them that makes you question their efficacy?

Need to know what this pill is for sure ## Hello, Megan! How are you? The only listing I can find in the prescription drug databases for a tablet is a round, pink one with M over 32 on one side and a score line on the other. It is listed as containing 50mgs of Metoprolol. The FDA classifies this medication as a beta blocker that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, dry cough and hypotension. Is it possible that your pill is pink?

Is there any difference in these to metoprolol 50 mg pills? I am prescribed C74 and my mother is prescribed M32. ## Hi, Strawberry! How are you? Your doctor doesn't actually prescribe you any specific tablet with a certain marking. They prescribe the medication and dosage, the tablet you actually when you get it filled by your pharmacy depends on which one they have in stock, because it can vary depending on what company was offering the cheapest price, when they re-ordered from their distributor. Both the tablet that you've received with the C 74 marking on it and the M32 tablet that your mother received from her pharmacy contain 50mgs of Metoprolol, they are just manufactured by different companies. This is very common when a medication is available as a generic. It creates so...

Would 3 tablets of m325 be the same as taking one and a half Vicodin 10? ## Hello, Kyle! How are you? Do you mean the white tablet with the marking M523 on one side and 10/325 on the other? If so, it is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. In this case, you have the conversion backwards, because Oxycodone is stronger than Hydrocodone. Taking 30mgs of it would be equal to taking 45mgs of Hydrocodone. Thus, it just takes one of these tablets to equal one a half Vicodin 10/325. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have been taking for 60 days and the first presciption from walmart did not help but the second refill is too strong and i cut them in half please explain why they are so different they both say m357 mallinckro ## This has been reported many times with the tablets manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. I can't say with any certainty, but it appears that they may have quality control issues. Have you tried using a different pharmacy, or perhaps asking at Wal-Mart if they can get tablets from a different manufacturer?
