Urine Drug Test Lorazepam

I'VE BEEN TAKING ATIVAN 2 MG.AT HS.FOR YEARS , THEY SAID NONE SHOW UP IN MY URINE TEST.WHY WOULD THIS HAPPEN? ## Don't know if you're still looking for an answer to this, but basically cheaper urine tests (like the immunoassay) only test for the two most common metabolites of benzopdiazepines which are Nordiazepam and Oxazepam. Lorazepam's metabolite is molecularly dissimilar from these more common metabolites and therefore only shows up as positive in very high concentrations. If it had been a GC/MS test it would have easily been detected. ## My son overdosed on 80 ativan and his tox screen was normal when he got to the hospital. The hospital staff was totally confused ## I am glad to find out the reason that my oxy and adderall show up every time but not my ativan and ... ...

Ok so I take luvox, proprananol, ambian, Ativan, and Buspar for years and they are prescribed for me. I sometimes take seriquel and melatonin for sleep. I also take Tylenol. Will I fail a pee test for employment? Also my roommate smokes pot occasional lyrics but I do not. Will it show up as second hand THC-is there such a thing? As you can probably tell I have anxiety. ...

Lorazepam false positive drug test?
2 Replies RSS
I take 1mg of Lorazepam AS NEEDED for anxiety. I was rushed to the hospital and while there they did a urine drug test that showed up negative for Lorazepam (or any benzo for that matter). I took a Lorazepam the morning before. Since it showed up negative, I have been discharged as a patient due to noncompliance. How is that even possible, much less fair? The doctor will not change his mind on this. ## I am experiencing the same thing but with my prescribed clozapine not showing up at my methadone program the lab must be doing a cheap test where it's not showing up I've been on it for 4 years ## Are you getting saliva mouth swab tests at your clinic? I do know that my clinic, although it does test for benzos, many ppl taking klonopin (clonazepam) prescribed or not, do not ever c... ...

I take prescription Lorazepam for sleep. Will I fail a pre-employment drug test. I do have a prescription ## It depends on the dose and how much you take. Does Lorazepam show up the same as Xanax on a drug test
40 Replies RSS
I went to my doctor today to get my scripts refilled and he gave me a drug test to check my levels? I am prescribed .25 mg of Xanax 3 xs daily and 150 mgs of Effexor daily and methadone. Since I ran out of Xanax and took lorazepam instead will the lorazepam show up as the same thing as Xanax? ## It depends on the type of test he uses. There are some basic tests that just check for the presence of Benzodiazepines and if that's the one he uses, then since they are both in the same drug family, that's all that it would show. However, they are both different drugs, Xanax contains Alprazolam and Lorazepam is the generic for Ativan, so a test that looks for the specific metabolites would show exactly what you took. lorazepam negative blood test

I am wondering why I am taking Lorazepam and when my doctor does a blood test it shows negative ## I had the same problem, have taken Lorazepam for years. According to tests, nothing showed up, something wrong somewhere?? ## Why don't you two ask your doctor why he is giving you a prescription before you start popping pills?? Be a bit more informed about what you are putting into your body and why! ## If you are a student doctor, then you would know that they run tests to see if the meds show up. I have seem many times when the tests show negative and I know I have taken the meds! ## I've been on Loraz. 2mg. 2 times a day for over 10 years and have been tested numerous times and have always tested negative. I take Loraz. daily-for years. my U.A. always come back negative. WHY?? ## @sam, Although it seems uncommon, I've actually heard of this happening to other people as well. Except in their case, the pill just passed through their system without even getting metabolized and ended up in their stool. I wonder if this could be the case with your situation too...? Are you feeling the effects of the medication at all? Perhaps one or more of the inactive ingredients are causing it to filter through your system differently. Other than that I don't really have a logical explanation as to why this would happen. Maybe you just have to adjust the timing of your dose to correspond with an upcoming drug test so that you're actually taking the drug test while you're at the peak of it... ...

.5 mg Lorazepam/Pre Employment Drug Screening

I took a .5mg dose of Lorazepam on Thursday morning. I have a pre employment drug test tomorrow (Tuesday). I took a home drug test with a 300ng/ml cutoff level on Sunday morning and passed for benzodiazepines. This was a one time dose and I do not take it very often. Since I passed the home drug test two days ago, should I be good for the lab test tomorrow afternoon? ...

Clean Ua From Lorazepam

I am curious as to how long this medicine (Lorazepam) will remain in my system in regards to detectability from urinalysis screening. It is prescribed, but don't want employer to know of my situation. ## It depends on how often you take them; if you just use it occasionally then it will take 48 to 72 hours to be out of your system, but if you use it every day then benzo's can stay in your urine up to 30 days. My research tells me that labs don't typically screen for specific prescription medications (that aren't narcotics). But since Lorazepam happens to be a benzo, it will likely show up on a "sensitive" test. Lorazepam can be detected by Benzodiazepines (BZO) urine drug tests. There are testing kits available for Benzodiazepines that you may be interested in go... ...

side affects of lorazepam
3 Replies RSS
Can this medication cause negative side affects after only 3 days of usuage? ## After 3 days, I highly highly doubt you will see any side affects. It might make some people drowsy so it's always best to test it at home. I take it on a daily basis and I have my bloodwork done regularly and their hasn't been signs of anything irregular. I always pay close attention to my health and the medications that I take, so far, so good. If you just took it for three days and you haven't had any immediate adverse reactions, you are fine. ## Actually, yes it could! You should not speak from experience when talking about drug side effects as it can be a purely personal thing. Drugs affect different people in different ways, so while someone else may not experience many side effects at all,... ...

false positive for lorazepam
2 Replies RSS
I came out positive for lorazepam on a urine test at the methadone clinic. The only things i've taken were ambien, theraflu, sudafed, and some other over the counter medications. Will that give me a positive for lorazepam? ## Do you mean you tested positive for 'benzodiazepines' rather than, specifically, 'lorazepam' (which is Ativan by brand name)?? Typically complience check randomized drug tests, like the kind you would receive at a clinic for methadone will test for main groups of drugs, not individual ones, unless they are sent to a lab for more specific testing (which methadone clinics do not routinely do as it would cost way more money than itd be worth for them to do this). So lorazepam belongs to the drug family classified as benzodiazepines (clonazepam or k... ...
