I do not get messages back from this board...I know I get them as my email says I have a answer to my question every now and then but I can not see the reply. I've 10 spine surguries an several are a failure that'll never be corrected. Ive have nerves burnt, inj's. in my spine, 3 out of the last approximately 28 I was wide awake, Velcro was used to secure my arms and legs. I was told I would be lightly sedated, fentynal/vercit ...vercaid, don't know how to spell it :/ does NOT work on me, I am gave propafal/propnal? another great rx word I'm not sure how to spell...the docs assured me I would not have the vercet/fentynal combo during inj's. into my tail bone or L-4-5 area. what would happen if I ate an expired fentanyl lollipop? Are they less potent? What happens to them after its passed its expiration date? ## Hello, Jillian! How are you? This medication doesn't get dangerous, once it's expire, but yes it does start to lose effectiveness. It is best to dispose of expired medications and see your doctor for a new prescription. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am leaving a response on this forum because I am really disappointed with this brand of birth control. I am turning 22 in less than a month and have had struggles with birth control for about 4 years now, I never have any bad symptoms from the pill except for on about the third week on the pill I always end up breaking out with horrible acne, especially in the chin area (mostly painful under the skin cysts). This happened with every type I tried, but felt the worst with Lolo which was prescribed to me by my OBGYN despite how I told her my struggles with hormonal acne from the pill. I tried Lolo for one month in December, and stopped it due to the painful acne, during my time off from the pill my boyfriend and I had a scare and I took plan B, then once I got my period I decided to give...

Is this normal to feel like death ## Hi J, Sorry to hear about your experience with Fentanyl. While I don't think it's common to feel this way, Fentanyl is regarded as a very powerful medication. So it could be that your body just isn't used to having something so potent in its system. Also, from what I've read in other discussion threads, the side effects of this medication can and often do take their toll on the body, in a way that may make some people feel "lifeless", weak, or very ill. My suggestion is, if you don't like how your body is responding to it, then you should probably consider other forms of pain management. Perhaps something natural that can be used as an adjunctive therapy, alongside something weaker than Fentanyl (that you can more easily t...

I have been taking metoprolol tartrate 50mg for 10 plus years. Recently I have been experiencing cold feet, especially when I lay down. My heart doctor checked my blood flow to my feet and said it was normal. He then suggested the culprit could be the metoprolol tartrate 50 mg that I was taking once daily. Can you recommend a substitute to eliminate this problem? ## Hi Al, Sorry to hear about you getting "cold feet" - no pun intended though Lol. Well I looked into the side effect profile of Metoprolol and found that NIH.gov actually lists "experiencing a paleness or cold feeling in the fingers/toes" as a less common symptom associated with this medication. Ref: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0045008/#DDIC602483.side_effects_section So it sounds to me like your doctor...

My label on my current bottle of Metoprolol says "TAR 25mg tab Myl", while the old bottle's label said "TAR 25mg tab Car." What is the difference between Myl and Car? Thank you. ## The Myl and Car are just different manufactures, since this is a generic medication. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I've been taking the Myl tablets and today I got the Car tablets. They are smaller and I can't find any reference to them online. Is it safe to take Carvedilol 25mg if the discard date was three months ago? Will they still be effective? ## They do not become dangerous, but they may have lost some efficacy, so it would be best to speak to your doctor about obtaining a new supply. The FDA lists this medication as possibly causing side effects, such as nausea, headache, dizziness, hypotension, and increased urination. How does this medication work for you? When I was taking it, I suffered a severe worsening of my Raynaud's Syndrome/Disease.... I listed both, because what the FDA is calling it at any given time is subject to change. LOL Sometimes it's a syndrome, other times it's a disease, again. Anyway, there were days my hands and feet would go numb and hurt, in perfectly nice weather, so I had to switc...

I have been taking Metoprolol Succ ER 50 MG from Tasan for 2 years, and now CVS changed my prescription to Taeth. Is it true as CVS stated that Tasan has been discontinued? Has anyone changed from Tasan to Taeth? ## TASAN simply stands for a Tablet manufactured by Sandoz pharmaceuitcals, TAETH means this tablet is manufactured by Ethex pharmaceuticals. I do not know if the other one has been discontinued, but they are the same medication. ## CVS recently changed my 100mg dose of Metoprolol Succ TASAN to TAETH 50 mg x2 - with the same story as you got about TASAN supposedly discontinuing the 100 MG dose. To me it seems they're simply using up their supply so I get to take horse pills times two a day this month.. I mean really thanks CVS lol ## I picked up my metoprol 50mg. At cvs. Mf...

I wanted to know if I can take biotin while taking metoprolol? I just want to make sure before I start. ## From what I've researched, Biotin can be naturally found in your body (and is produced by bacteria in your GI tract to aid in digestive functions). It also naturally occurring in many foods. Therefore, I am of the opinion that Metoprolol shouldn't negatively interact with what is already normally present in your body...Otherwise, the medication would be deemed useless for all human consumption...Lol. According to The University of Maryland Medical Center, "although there is no evidence that biotin interacts with any medication, there are some medications that may lower biotin levels." My pharmacy couldn't offer my Loestrin Fe at the price I was paying and my doctor suggested I switch to either Lo Loestrin Fe (same active cycle but with a lower dose) or Junel (different active cycle). I chose the LoLo just because it seemed easier, but I was standing in a crowded pharmacy and didn't feel like I could ask all the questions I wanted. So I'm still a little suspicious. What does the low dosage of estrogen really affect? I guess what I"m asking is, if it's not as important as the progestin, why is it in the pill at all? I use bc for contraception, not so much period/mood regulation (mine were never that bad off the pill.) ## Well, it it is a vital female hormone and the amount in different women's bodies varies, so not all of them can take the same ...

I've taken this pill for a full two months and today I will be on my 8th pill of my third month packet. My first month of this I had a random period in the middle of the month and at the end of the month I only had brown discharge. At the end of my second month packet, I had a 4 day long period, but it started on my second white pill, not after or between my two brown pills. Then 7 days after my period ended, I had random bleeding. It was all at once, about the size of a donut hole. It was not clumpy and was a dark reddish brown color. It seems like it will be done by tomorrow (random bleeding midday Friday, most likely will be gone by saturday). I did have intercourse in between the end of my period and now. Should I be worried about pregnancy or any health issues? ## Hello, Meghan...

I was actually still able to identify your oval yellow pill for what it truly is, and that's a 0.5 mg generic Alprazolam tablet; better known by its brand name Xanax. Apparently this one is manufactured by a company called Dava Pharma and carries a National Drug Code of 67253-0901. Please post back anytime you need help finding something! Hello! I’m a pharmacy technician trying to help a patient afford this and she’s tried many different insurance companies and coupons but the lowest she can get it is $141. Does anyone have any advice on the cheapest place to get it, good insurance that covers this, or good coupons? Anything would be greatly appreciated as she has tried so hard and I’m just starting to look around. Thanks I’m advance. ## Has she considered asking her doctor to prescribe a cheaper alternative? It might be cheaper for her to take a different one and just add an additional iron supplement, but only her doctor can help decide if that's safe for her to do. I am taking lo loestrin since past one year. And I was really happy with it till now. I had a high blood pressure episode that lasted 4-5 days. I was a low bp person usually in range 110/70 . now the bp is lower but stuck at 135/85 range. Even though it is borderline normal. I am thinking did my bcp cause my bp to go higher in past one year ? And if I cobtinue to take will it go even more higher ? I don't want to go on bp medication and would like to avoid bcp if it is a factor. Thanks ## Hello, Rach! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. I was wondering if anyone is taking Metoprolol and CoQ10 together and if your blood pressure dropped too low? I want to start taking CoQ10 but afraid my BP will drop too low. I see there are different doses, 50ml, 100ml, and 200ml. I was thinking of starting out small and taking 50ml to see how my body adjusts. Any information will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance ## Hello, Rich! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between them, but you should double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure. What are you usual blood pressure readings? ## Prob between 110/70 to 120/80. Pulse is usually between 55-60 BPM. My doc recommended I ask a pharmacist. Go figure. Lol. I have been taking Sotalol Teva for over 15 years and picked up a new prescription at Wal-Mart and received a different brand (Apotex). I called and the pharmacist said they were the same. My heart seems to disagree and is hopping around. Maybe like drinking coke for 15 yrs and then them throwing in a Pepsi. LOL. Is it my mind or what? My heart is giving me a "not in my head" reaction. ## Hello Jack, I hope that you are doing well. After doing some research I found that both Sotalol pills have the same active Ingredient SOTALOL HYDROCHLORIDE 120mg but where the two pills differ is the listed inactive ingredients. Teva reportedly contains these inactive ingredients: - Starch, Corn - Lactose Monohydrate - Magnesium Stearate - Povidone K30 - Fd&c Blue No. 2 - Indigotindisulfona...

I'm taking Metoprolol Tartrate 50mg since June 2012 and it says I can't take multivitamins while I'm on these. I've been having menstrual cramping but when I was taking multivitamins I really didn't have them. Is there a way that I can take multivitamins without interfering with the metoprolol? ## Hi Ann, I find this interaction to be odd, simply because there are vitamins and minerals in all of the foods we eat. By saying that you can't take multivitamins, it's essentially saying that you can't eat period, which makes no sense by any means of logical thinking. Lol! If I had to suggest something, it would be taking raw multivitamins (such as the one's by Garden of Life). These vitamins are still in their natural unaltered state and therefore should be...
