Any feedback on risks of taking Aubagio if you have Multiple Hepatic or liver Hemangioma's? Is it liver "enzymes" that should be tested before going on Aubagio? Any other tests pre-Aubagio? How long has it been available? Are there any clinical studies post FDA approval? Does anyone have substantial improvement or problems since taking Aubagio? Please share. I've got enough illnesses/syptoms don't want to add to them... Thanks ## Aubagio is generally not recommended in someone with severe liver impairment, of any type, due to the fact that it has been known to have a detrimental effect on the liver. How is your liver function? Your blood pressure should also be checked, before you start it. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, fever, c...

I have NAFLD and have been told I need a liver transplant but the infliximab I am using at the moment isn't working and I am in constant pain in my shoulders, hands, knees and feet as well as pain in my ribs due to my liver and enlarged spleen. Have been told I can use this but am a bit sceptical about this after reading forums and would appreciate any feedback. ## I didn't see any warnings about it causing problems with liver disease, or being contraindicated, but it is always best to seek the opinion of another doctor, if you aren't sure. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, muscle aches, cough, and weight loss. Is this the only medication you will be taking?

On day 4 of cold turkey Dilaudid withdrawals. Severe back pain sufferer. Was on 24mg/day for about 18 mos. Brutal. So tired I can barely move, add to that the back pain with limited muscle support and you start to get the picture. Worse symptoms have been diarrhea, insomnia, headaches, mental strangeness and I'm in too much of a general fog to remember what else. Only reason I've slept at all in the past 3 days is Temazepam. But at best an hour or two at a time. Not a natural narcotics lover. No pain, no drugs. Have Diaz and Temaz for a general insomnia problem anyway. Plus if you don't sleep and have a pain problem you're toast. To be completely honest, my doctor is a total F***ing A****le and a quack. I live in a rural area and there's no choices except this idiot ...

Okay guys, I need some feedback and fast. I am only 25 and I have severe TMJ I live in Mobile, AL and because my condition is so severe I have to go to Birmingham (5 hours away) to see a doctor that is qualified to handle it. Because of Alabama Drug laws. A doctor in a different city has to have seen you to prescribe you Narcotic pain medication. I was going to Birmingham about once every 2-3 weeks to get my prescriptions filled but that was getting costly so my doctor referred me to a Pain Management Specialist here. Without even looking at my MRIs or surgery history he put me on Suboxone, and told me it was a strong pain medication. I took it for about 3 weeks then went to see my Oral surgeon in Birm. He was furious he told me that Suboxone was for people with a dependancy problem and...

I live in southwest Florida and I have not been able to get my Rx in over a month now! I'm frustrated. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks for your feedback! P.S. I take 20mg x 3 daily IR. ## When this occurs towards the end of a year, and into the beginning of the next, it is usually due to manufacturing production limits of controlled substances. Each manufacturer is allowed a set amount that they can manufacture each year. These amounts are set according to sales, and demand from the previous year. This was done to help keep better track of the supply of these substances, and to try to prevent theft, and diversion. Unfortunately, most years, using figures from the prior year does not always meet the demand for the new year, and shortages occur. A company can request specia...

First day on Zoloft.. no noticeable side effects other than a little tired. I'm praying this stuff helps. I refuse to live with this anxiety/depression any longer! ## Hi Denise, Thanks for sharing your feedback on Zoloft. Not to discourage you in any way, but I actually remember seeing Zoloft being mentioned on television over a year ago regarding patients filing litigation against its manufacturer, due to serious side effects they incurred while taking it. I pray that you don't ever experience that side of Zoloft, but because of this I would strongly encourage you to proceed with caution if you notice anything too unusual or bothersome. I'll look forward to any future updates on your progress! Overcoming anxiety/depression can be a life long journey for some, but where ther...

Please can someone help me find a compassionate pain doc in western Pa. I need some feedback from people seeing these docs. in Altoona, Pa, Indiana, Pa..Greensburgh, Pittsburgh, anywhere close to these areas. Have medical records, MRI etc. I need a compassionate doctor to help me live my life. At this point it is hard to even get out of bed! Anyone?

My husband has Alzheimers and became combative at the Memory Care Facility where he lives. They sent him to the hospital which sent him spiraling down to probably late stage ALZ now. They kept him on lots of haldol for about 2 weeks. He couldn't walk anymore, didn't talk, couldn't feed himself and rarely opened his eyes. After trying other meds, they put him on Depakote. He remained there for another 2 weeks weaning off the Haldol and then went back to the facility. He was still in withdrawal and it took another month to get it all out of his system. But as soon as he returned they put him on Depakote only. 1000mg at night, now changed to 250 in the morning and 1000 at night. He is now awake, talking and no longer combative. He just gets agitated when they need to change his...

My mother in law is taking Sintrom 4 mg and she wants to know if there is a device or tool to do the blood tests at home, instead of going to a laboratory. We live in Tampa, FL. and we dont know. She just came from Spain to reside with us. Your feedback will be highly appreciated. ## Yes, there are meters available for self INR testing, at home. I am not sure of the prices or specific details, such as whether or not she will need a doctor's prescription, but Philips has one available, you can contact them for more information at: 888-744-5477 Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yes! There is a machine called Coagucheck in Canada...it is great. Cost about $500 Cdn and is completely portable. I am sure there is a simailr one in the US.

I live in Indonesia and unfortunately, the labels here are not as complete as it would be in other countries. I am currently taking - 1. Sangobion (Ferrous Gluconate, Manganese, Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Vit C, Folic Acid, Vit B, Sorbitol), 2. Enervon-C Multivitamins, 3. Evening Primrose Oil and 4. Levothyroxine. I think the EPO is gluten-free, but I am not sure of the rest. I would appreciate your feedback as I am new at this and I would hate to have gluten hidden in my vitamins / medicine while I avoid all the foods that I used to love. :( Thank you in advance!

My Dr (Mueller) gave me an ultrasound on my right side and it showed fatty liver going down to pancreas and a cyst on my right kidney. He refuses to give me a scan on my left side. I am thinking of switching Dr's fast. Is that a good idea and what should I be doing for proactive care? I am on a diet and exercise as much as I can. ## Hi Sandy, Sorry to hear about your situation. Has this doctor given you any reasons or feedback as to why it may not be a good idea to scan your left side? Or is it out of sheer unethical behavior? Your answer to this question will affect whether or not someone advises you to switch doctors. Maybe he had a good reason? Maybe he didn't? Is he willing to explain his position? As far as proactive care is concerned, I'm surprised that the doctor didn...

Hi I'm a stage 4 cancer patient and live in Sacramento California. My doctor of 5 years recently retired without telling any of his patients! So now I'm stuck without a doctor and I also need a doctor that is compassionate because most doctors these days seem to not care regardless of how sick you are, to prescribe my normal medications like Xanax and my pain medications being a cancer patient. I'd really appreciate any help and feedback you can give me to find a compassionate doctor here in Sacramento California. Thank you! ## I would like to get information about upjohn 90 tablets, I was prescribed them for severe panic attacks and another issue, but my doctor retired and I went to a new doctor and she told me she can't prescribe them anymore so I now try each day to p...

i wanted to get some more feedback regarding Opana 40 mg ER and any side affects that you may have. I have two herniated disc's L4-L5 & L5/S1 & I have stonisis of the spine as well.. I am only 39yrs old and my pain management Doctor referred me to this type of pain medication since I am way to young to have back surgery. I have been taking Generic Hydrocodone 10/325 2 pills 3 times a day and it's not helping so my doctor put me on Opana starting tomorrow, 40mgs twice a day. I need to know if medicaid will pay for my methadone treatment in ky? ## It won't where I live. Medicaid hasn't been expanded here but even if you could get it the insurance won't cover mmt., only detox. ## @Margie, With seemingly ever-changing laws surrounding the dispensing and coverage of controlled substances, I think your best bet would probably be to contact a methadone clinic directly for more specific details on their protocol. It may be that you'd have to contact a number of different clinics and compare feedback. I'd also encourage you to look into Kentucky's medicaid Drug Formulary (or Preferred Drug List) to for up to date information on what their medicaid covers; as coverage seems to vary from state to state. ## I live in Harrodsburg ky..
