Is the 5mg of Lisinopril Tab pink oval the same medication is the 5mg of Lisinopril Tab in white square??? I Purchase the white square one from CVS My husband gets the oval pink one free from Purblx?????? ## What are the markings on them, that's what would enable me to double check them for you. But in general, they most likely are exactly what the pharmacy has said they are and they are just manufactured by different companies. Publix may have a special deal on the one from that company they are providing and the same may be true of CVS. It depends on who they use as a supplier and how good they are at negotiating prices. You might even find several more at different pharmacies in the same area. Learn more Lisinopril details here.

G2 H2 Pinkish ## If you would like more info on Lisinopril you can look here ## This drug really works! ## Hey, I am on 5mg. I got sick and my Dr said not to take them unless needed cause it was dropping. I have been taking it for the past few days cause it goes up every other day and it helped me but today it's 140/98. ## Lisinopril is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination. Glenda, that is a very unusual way of taking it. How low was it dropping? Are you on any other medications?

I recently started taking Lisinopril 2.5mg about 2 weeks ago at bedtime. It was decided because I am so sensitive to medications to start on the lowest dose. It was suggested at this time because in the morning it is quite high. However, it is still high (this morning it was 155/95 and has been higher) but then it goes down throughout the morning and day. Why? Also, I've noticed that my mouth during the night is very, very dry and I wake up about 3 times per night to take a sip of water. Could this be causing the reading? Also, does it just take more time to begin to show a lowering of BP, especially in the morning? ## It may take 4 to 5 weeks for this medication to reach its full level of efficacy in your body to see how well it will work for you. My doctor gave me a month to get my blood pressure down - it was 150/95. I tried my best - eliminated salt, exercised like crazy - it was still high when I went back to him so he gave me this med. I felt nothing for the first week or so on it now I'm getting insane nausea. I can't eat. I lost 4 lbs last week. Food just makes me more sick. Coincidentally, each time I checked my own bp at the pharmacy or had the trainer do it at my gym it was 115/90 - not that bad. But he insisted that I needed something. I continue to exercise and eliminate salt in order to soon get off this med. I have a hard time believing that such a low dose would make me so sick. Could this be possible? ## Hello, Sunny! How are you doing? Sorry about the problems that you're having. Yes, a low dose could...

I have been taking Lisinopril /HCTZ 20-25mg. I,m out. I do have a bottle of Lisinopril 2.5 mg that was filled incorrectly, but I still have them. my blood pressure is high 155/96, and I have a terrible headache. is it ok to take the Lisinopril 2.5mg ## It is a much lower dosage, so it may not work as well as the one you are currently prescribed. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. In the future, it would be best to make sure you pick up a refill, before you run out, since missing doses could be dangerous. Have you consulted your doctor?

Round, Lt Green, large letter M on one side, L 26 on other side. New prescription, does not seem to work! ## Pill Image It is Lisinopril 40mgs. However, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in their Bioequivelence, by as much as plus or minus 20%, so that gives them a leeway of 40% to screw them up. I've taken 10mg Lisinopril with success for 9 days. Lowered my BP from 140s/90s to low 100s/low 70s. But on days 6-9 my BP was going down to 98/65 different times of the day, with some slight lightheadedness, no coughing. I was worried it would keep trending lower, especially while sleeping, and cause more dizziness. So my Dr gave me a 5mg RX. One day on that dose and I already noticed my BP going higher (High 130/high 80, low 90s). Now that I know I get better readings with 10mg I want to switch back. So my question is, is it ok that I went one day with 5mg and will go back to 10mg the next day? I was going to take another 5mg 12 hrs after my first dose but wasn't sure if that was ok? ## It really takes about 4 to 5 weeks, at one steady dosage, for Lisinopril to reach its full ...

I was told that Lisinopril WAS in the same ACE Inhibitor Class of Blood Pressure Medications, as Enalapril. Is that True, and how Comparable are they, to take, in regard to Doseage and Frequency? Thanks. ## Yes, they are both ACE inhibitors, the pril on the end of the drug name actually designates that. And Enalapril is actually twice as strong as Lisinopril, so you'd need to take twice as much Lisinopril to equal whatever dosage you were taking of the Enalapril. IE: 2.5mgs Enalapril = 5mgs Lisinopril 5mgs Enalapril = 10mgs Lisinopril and so on. Learn more Enalapril details here. Learn more Lisinopril details here. And the frequency is usually the same, they are generally taken once daily in oral form. Are you switching medications? ## Appreciate all of the GREAT advice,Verwon, on m...

round pink pill with number 5 imprinted on back ## Is it scored on the opposite side? If so, then it is Lisinopril 5mgs, a generic for Zestril. This is used to help lower blood pressure. Some of the most common side effects are cough, diarrhea and drowsiness. ## My lisinopril has #10 on the back rather than #5 as you stated in this article. On the front is LUPIN. It is just manufactured by a different company than the pill that the original poster was referring to. ## My pharmacy gave me Lisinopril LUP 30 mg which is a round pink pill instead of my usual Lisinopril 30mg SAN which is normally small, pink and oval in shape. Can I take two 5mg of Lisinopril to equal 10mg of Lisinopril? ## Hello, Teresa! How are you? Yes, the only time this would be a problem would be if the formulations were different, for instance if one was time released and one wasn't. But yes, if you already have some 5mg ones and your doctor raised it to 10mg, then you can usually just go ahead and double up to finish what you already have. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is lisinopril 20-12.5 much different than the 20 mg? If not, I can get the 20 mg for free at the drug store, but I have to pay for the 20-12.5. ## Yes, the active ingredients are different. One contains Lisinopril with Hydrochlorothiazide, while the other just contains Lisinopril and you should take the one your doctor feels is best for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dehydration, and hypotension. Which one has been prescribed for you?

I've been on 5mg Lisinopril for almost 3 months and have lost 6-8 lbs. without trying. I was only about 180lbs. to begin with. Will the weight loss eventually stop or should I stop the medication? Thanks....Tony ## Lisinopril is most commonly used to help lower blood pressure. Have you spoken to your doctor about this, yet? The weight loss is not considered a normal side effect, but a rare and unusual one. Normally, most side effects start to wear off in 4 to 6 weeks of use. It's very important to involve your doctor in the decision you make about the drug, since the weight loss could also be caused by something else. ## Thank you for your reply. Rest assured I am not stopping or changing any meds without consulting my doc. Tony

can lisinopril -hctz 10-12 5mgtab be cut in half? ## Hi Shirley, Is there a score line (indent) on the pill? If there is, then it is there specifically for the purpose of cutting the pill in half. Whether or not there is a score line, I would still cut the pill in half if needed. Maybe talk to your doctor about getting a lower dose of this medication if you consistently feel the need to use half a dose. NOTE: cutting a pill in half only works if the pill is in tablet form. This just wouldn't work if it is a capsule, since the contents would fall out. Hope this helps!
