Broken thumb will not heal with new bone growth. I use a small patch on joint. Could the patch be a factor in no healing? 4 surgeries in 7 months. Still in a cast with port for bone stimulator. I put quarter size patch in port hole for pain 24/7. ## Hello, Cusher! How are you? It's very doubtful, since this is just a mild topical anesthetic, your body usually does't absorb much of it. That's why the FDA lists most of the side effects as being related to topical use, like skin irritation, redness, itching and rash. However, it would be best to check with your doctor, to be sure. Are they aware that you're using it? You likely shouldn't leave it in the port, when using the stimulator. ## I was using for pain only but have stopped putting in port till next x-ray. I love...

I take 1200 mg of gabapetin a day, 1 mg klonapin for sleep. From my rheumatogist. My pcp put me on ibuprofen 800mg every 12 hrs. And also lidoderm 5% patches. Will there be any side effects from the ibuprofen 800mg. And will I have any problems getting the new presciptions filled by my pcp. Just got the new scripts. ## Hello, Lynnda! How are you doing? Neither the Ibuprofen, nor the Lidoderm are controlled substances, so there shouldn't be any issues, just make sure that both doctors are aware of all the medications that you're taking and the Mescape database doesn't list any problems or interactions between these medications. The Ibuprofen is list3d by the FDA as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased r...

This cream is used for pain as an anti-inflammatory. The common name is Reme-DHP (alt sp. D-HP). It is compounded by my Pharmacist as a cream/lotion and I think it contains: Topiramate Celecoxib 200mg Gabapentin Duloxetine 60mg Lidoderm (Lidocaine) Ethyl Alcohol 190 proof I was wondering if it is also marketed under any other names? ## Hi Karen, thanks for sharing these details. I wanted to ask if you can verify that this compounded cream does in fact contain Topiramate? The other ingredients make sense since they are either a topical anesthetic or have secondary uses for neuropathic pain. But I'm not seeing any off label uses listed by the FDA or NIH of Topiramate for treating pain. I could very well be missing something. May I ask how you ended up getting this specific cream presc...

Some burning and itching so am a little scared.

My dad (85 years old) was prescribed the loriderm patch for severe arthritis back pain and I noticed after he wore the patch for a few days he started to halucinate and was confused and very nervious so at the hospital they took the patch off. How long does it take for the medication to get out of your system? ## Hello, Marylou! How is your dad doing? How long was he using it? If he was only on it for a short period of time, then it shouldn't take more than a few days to be processed out. Is he on any other medications? ## Did you Dad take the patch off every 12 hours and did not put another on until 12 ho...
