I have been suffering from fever from last 6 days. I consulted doctor on 4th day. They checked blood and found S Typhi 'H' &S Typhi 'O'. he gave me cefpodoxime and azithromycin tablets and Disodium Hydrogen citrate & paracetamol solutions still I m not getting well suggest me what to do. pls.. still temperature btw. 90-100 I have became totally weak Pls help me

Zithromax (Brand) and Azithromycin (Generic Equivalent). Are they both, exact in all Ingredients, or, do they add other Ingredients in the Generic > Azithromycin ?? ## They do not have the same molecular structure on the active ingredient - Brand is a dihydrate and generic is a monohydrate - also have different inert ingredients as well - generic is made outside of US where there is little inspections related to quality control - on contaminates and greater than allowed by the FDA on residual solvents. I have take brand name about 5 times last 12 years and worked great - I took the generic and had really bad reactions - I feel as if I put poison in my system. ## Can i take this medicine together with Paracetamol tablet?

I have a sinus infection and I was taking Amoxicillin to relieve my symptoms but so far it has not gotten better but worse. I have been taking Azithromycin 500 mg for the last five days ...one tablet a day for URTI , bronchitis, sinusitis and throat infection. But it did not yield desired results excepting some little improvement. Can I now switch over to Amoxcillin CV 625 . What should be the dosage and period for taking this drug for my above problem. It's Azithromycin. It usually is a 5 day Rx prescription. Results from it last 4-10 days after prescription is over. I was given it for chronic headaches. If your doctor prescribes you GGD6 for headaches, I would ask for something else. It hasn't worked for me and I'm still getting headaches daily. ## Azithromycin is an antibiotic that's used to treat bacterial infections, it is not something prescribe for headaches. Are you certain that is the medication you're thinking of? Is the ggd6 supposed to be the marking on something or the name of something?

How many years will Zithromax pills last? ## my azithromycin has expired by 2 mos. is it still good ## If they are still sealed in the original factory container, they are good for about 4 to 5 years. But if they are in a container as dispensed by a pharmacy, they are only good for about one year from the date they are given to you, since that exposes them to the elements that cause degradation, such as heat, light and moisture. Last month i started preventative treatment with a 2 month inj., then the past few weeks i started having pains that resulted in bleeding. I wen't to the clinic and they gave me anaerobyl and austell-azithromycin tablets. The pains stopped but bleeding didn't. Can u help me out? ## Hello, Lady T! How are you? I have taken 2 augmentin 875-125 pills 12 hours apart. Is it safe for me to start azithromycin after 12 hours have lapsed since the last augmentin? ## Hello, Vern! How are you? Has your doctor instructed you to switch from one to the other? There aren't any problems with doing so, since they are both antibiotics. If you were taking them together, the Azithromycin could reduce the efficacy of the Amoxicillin. The FDA classifies these medications as antibiotics and typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Can this product be used if person is diabetic ## Hi Clint, From what I could gather, Azitromicina (Azithromycin) does not list any contraindications against patients who have diabetes. So based off this information alone, I don't see any reason why it can't be used. However depending on the manufacturer, it may still be a good idea to double check the list of "inactive" ingredients for any artificial sweeteners like sucrose that diabetics could be sensitive to. On one last note, because this information is not a substitute for medical advice I'd always encourage you to talk with your doctor first before taking anything you are unsure of, especially if you have a pre-existing condition. The doctor has given me a 10 tablet course. I have taken 6 tablets in 3 days. But the next day I started feeling well, so I stopped taking it. Kindly suggest if there's any other suitable medicine. ## Even if you are feeling better it is EXTREMELY important that you finish the whole course of antibiotics prescribed to you by your doctor. I can't stress this enough, you MUST finish all antibiotics given to you.

Azithromycin is an antibiotic that can treat bacterial infections, but it may not be the correct one to treat yours, if you have one. It is also not the preferred one to treat UTI's. You should have this checked out to make sure an infection is present and then get a prescription for the appropriate medication. I've had a bad month with flu and a sinus infection. I'm somewhat immune compromised as I take immuran for Crohn's Disease. I was prescribed doxycycline, and then azithromycin, with no relief from the sinusitis. My doc put me on a 3 week course of levaquin 750mg. The levaquin has been helping my sinusitis, but I've been developing some troubling side effects. First side effect was gastritis with nausea. As I have Crohn's, I know how to deal with gastritis, but none of my usual strategies were working. Finally just did some pretty big doses of liquid gaviscom, which did help. Then, night before last, I started with some really horrible skin crawls. Full bore, ants crawling under my skin feeling, and nothing helped. I was truly losing my mind with it. Scalding hot bath...

Is it OK ? I've taken two Bayer aspirin 25 mins ago..for a low grade fever my temp was 99.5 .but my heart was beating so fast. I thought it was gonna jump out my chest..so I'm prescribed xanax 2mg for anxiety ..so I thought I was also having a panic attack so I broke it in half because I didn't know if it would interact with the aspirin just in case ..so far my temp had went down to 98.7 ..and my heart has stop beating rapidly.thank God..but my scenario is last week I was diagnosed with having bronchitis and the Emergency Phy prescribed Me Azithromycin (z-pak) five day course and cough syrup and sent Me on my Merry way... I've finished the meds but still have the lingering cold/allergies/congestion..It seemed to have cleared The infection but I still get low grade fevers...

I was given a refill for Azithromycin. The Dr said the first course would stay in my body 10 days. When do I start the refill? 10 days after the first dose or right after the third (and last) dose on the first prescription? Can't reach Dr. Yet.
