Help, need new Dr to prescribe pain meds in Richmond, Va

I have severe rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and carpal tunnel in both wrists. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Well I have been seeing the same Dr for the last 8 yrs and because people can't follow directions, or abuse their medication is why I am now looking for a new LEGITIMATE Dr. His practice made a decision to no longer write pain medication, bc they do not have the resources or time to monitor it properly. He wrote me a excellent referral letter, saying I follow all guidelines, and am a good patient. My rheumatologist believes in a different pain medication than I am prescribed, and so he said he would write me rxs for a new medication, but if it ain't broke don't fix it. I have tried everything under the sun, and I'm also taking Arava, ibuprofen, and Pla ...

Doctors who will prescribe pain medication richmond va

I am looking for a compassionate doctor in the Richmond VA area who will prescribe pain medication. ## HI, BlueBell! How are you? The current situation isn't that doctors aren't compassionate, it's that there are strict regulations in place regarding what they can and cannot prescribe, how much they can prescribe, how long they can prescribe it and why they can prescribe it. It's really tied their hands in many cases. If you have a condition that requires strong pain medications for long-term treatment of chronic pain, then your best bet is most likely going to be to see a pain management specialist. Do you have a general practitioner that you see regularly who may be able to refer you to someone? Does anyone else know of a good doctor in that area? ## I do know a pain d... ...

My grandfather has Stage 4 lung cancer and we have been trying to fill his Dilaudid script for a very long time. I don't know which pharmacy to go to because it seems they are dry. If anyone has ANY avaiable information I would greatly appreciate it because I cannot stand to see my grandfather in so much pain. Please help. ## Have you tried any of the local hospital pharmacies? That's the only suggestion I can think of right now, they are usually able to keep a larger supply on hand than most regular retail pharmacies and they often give priority to people that are suffering with such devastating illnesses. Learn more Dilaudid details here. I'd suggest calling a couple and asking them about it. ## I can help u with information contact me ## my mother is sick with stage 3 can... ...

Are There Any Real Pain Specialists Left in Richmond, VA???

I used to live in the Richmond, VA area up until June of 2013, when I made the mistake of moving to Texas for 2 years, and now I'm back in the area. I have also been in chronic pain now for almost 14 years, have had 1 spinal surgery in '09 that was quite successful...until I was rear ended at a stoplight by some 'jerk' (note the PC term) going 65 -> 70 mph less than 18 months later. So now, I have 'Failed Back Surgery Syndrome" (yes, I kid you not, that's an ACTUAL diagnosis) on the disc I had surgery on (L5/S1), as well as herniations/tears on L3/L4 and L4/L5. Another wonderful fact about me is that I have a little genetic mutation called EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome). That just means that I take 10x longer to heal, I bleed more than most everyone else, a... ...

Help finding prescription for Xanax in Richmond, Virginia

I’ve been on Xanax during a few rough times for me in the past. I had a good psychiatrist (who is now retired) who would prescribe it for up to two months followed by a one-month taper plus gabapentin to reduce side effects of coming off of it. I lost my job a few months ago, still go to therapy for help using CBT for anxiety, but it’s become significantly worse now with money becoming very tight and still not finding anything. I’m now having multiple daily panic attacks and it’s effecting my ability to perform in the few job interviews I’ve been able to get. I haven’t been on any medications for a while and I don’t have a GP. I can’t take anti-depressants that help with anxiety because I’m in the 5-8% of patients with a clear histor... ...

Need New Pcp in Richmond VA willing to take over Prescribing Chronic Pain Medications

Hello I need to find a new pcp in Richmond, VA that will take over prescribing my medications. I have a history of lyme disease, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic anxiety. I was informed by my pcp that I would no longer be treated after over three years of being a patient. I don't have the time or money for multiple co-pays and doctor visits to find a doctor that is willing to continue prescribing my medications for pain, anxiety, and chronic fatigue. I do not want to go to a pain management clinic but rather visit my pcp each month so I have one doctor doing all my prescribing. I have been looking on the internet in hopes to find referrals to pcp that are sympathetic and willing to treat me as long as I am following the protocol. So stressed over this because I have a demandin... ...

Biotin Tablet

hello sir i want to know about Tablet Biotin... ## Biotin deficiency is rare because, in general, intestinal bacteria produce biotin in excess of the body's daily requirements. Regardless, in the rare situation of deficiency, a supplement is not needed since you can get all the biotin you need and more in whole foods. NOTE: the list below is not a complete list of foods that contain biotin. Avocado is one of the richest fruit sources of biotin. Also swiss chard, bread and yeast, salmon, liver, halibut, pork, raspberries, cauliflower, tomatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage and cucumber are other good sources of biotin. Surely one or more of these foods could be easily incorporated into one's dietary regime. Furthermore an egg yolk is a very dense source of biotin. It is noted that re... ...

Are more tremors possible as a result? Thanks. ## Hello, Richard! How is you wife? She cannot cut these tablets, the ER designates them as being time released, so cutting or breaking them could actually cause her to ingest too much of the medication, at once. They need to be swallowed whole. Normal side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness, hypotension and somnolence. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

Jublia medication

Unless you are a rich spoiled brat or some rich widow Jublia will cost you approx 700-1000 dollars per month. Most insurance will not cover it. And at that cost it is only 18% effective. Give me a break or let me win the lottery. ## Just an FYI. My podiatrist who was treating my big toenails originally told me Jublia would cost about $1000 per bottle. However, recently he told me things had changed. He gave me a discount card called "Access Program 2016" from "Valeant Dermatology". I was able to get Jublia for $0 co-pay at Walgreens + multiple refills. Ask about it. HUGE SAVINGS - from $1000 to $0. Wow! Also, I really think Jublia is working. After multiple laser treatments fungus was still lingering. Now with Jublia it's finally disappearing!!! ...
